Welcome![edit]

Hello, Nloeillot, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as LM3LABS, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Tea House, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! CorporateM (Talk) 14:15, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article LM3LABS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

By time I removed the promotion and unsourced material, there was nothing left. Best to wait until someone develops a proper article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hello, Nloeillot. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article LM3LABS, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.--Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 09:02, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Editing and sources[edit]

I placed the preceding boilerplate notice making the (reasonable) assumption that the owner of this account is the Nicholas Loelliot identified in the article as the COO of LM3Labs. You are almost certainly not aware of this, but there has recently been heightened sensitivity on Wikipedia concerning conflict of interest guidelines due to continuing bad-faith efforts on behalf of other companies. As a result, articles on other companies, even your direct competitors, may not be good guides to preparing your own. I am letting you know this so that you may understand why other editors may seem haphazard or discriminatory against your article.

For the time being, I am making some edits to try to bring the article into closer compliance with Wikipedia policies about reliable sources. For example, the entire article as you have left it has only two citations, both in a "Press" section. This is almost sure to raise hackles, as it is the way press releases and other PR is formatted, not encyclopedia articles. It is general practice to integrate information from third-party sources into the body of the article. I hope this explains the purpose of these edits. Thank you. --Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 09:12, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:LM3LABS Logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:LM3LABS Logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 19:40, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
