August 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm Jmajeremy. I noticed that you recently removed some content from No Age with an incorrect edit summary. In the future, you should discuss such changes at the article's talk page first. The removed content has been restored. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, —JmaJeremy 02:43, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Noagela, I realized I reverted your first edit to Wikipedia, and that might be disappointing. Please don't take it personally--that's just how a wiki works. I really hope you continue to contribute to the encyclopaedia, and in order to help you get started, you're invited to join other new editors and friendly hosts in the Teahouse – an awesome place to meet people, ask questions, and learn more about Wikipedia. No Age[edit]

Hi Noagela. First of all, I appreciate your transparency in telling me that you are in the band No Age. It would be great if you could improve the article by changing incorrect information, but the best approach would be to slowly work through the article and modify each section, one at a time. Please don't delete large amounts of content until you have something to replace it with. Additionally, and most importantly, your connection with the subject of article is considered to be a conflict of interest. While this does not bar you from editing, I highly recommend that you first read the guide to editing Wikipedia with a conflict of interest. A couple of key points are that you must avoid introducing bias to the article (i.e. removing accurate and well-sourced negative statements) and not inserting original reeearch. I'll also note that your username looks like it might violate Wikipedia's username policy. The policy states that "usernames that unambiguously consist of a name of a company, group, institution or product" are not allowed. I would recommend changing your username before someone blocks you. If you have any more questions, just let me know. Thanks. —JmaJeremy 23:59, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
