U.S. Route 78 Revert[edit]

I saw the revert and saw your explanation is the example of I-11, I checked I-11 page from both list and the article, and it shows what US 78 should and supposed be after the extension. Are there other interstate or U.S. route examples of why the revert is still there? If not, why did revert happen? Should it supposed to not happen? 158.93.6.10 (talk) 13:17, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
I cited Interstate 11 as an example of how a highway with a planned extension should be listed. I-11 has an approved extension north to SR 157, but as of now, there has been no signage along the route. Both the article and list correctly state that the northern end of I-11 is at the Henderson Spaghetti Bowl junction with I-215 and I-515.
It's the same deal with US 78. US 78 has an approved extension west to Jonesboro, but no real work has been done along the route. There has been no new signage since the extension was approved.
Therefore, I believe that, to remain consistent with the I-11 listing (and others on other Wikipedia lists, like the recently-approved I-27 extension), we should keep US 78's western terminus in Memphis. Feel free to continue discussion on the List of United States Numbered Highways talk page. NocoRoads 14:21, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
