July 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Lauren appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Hello, I have just reverted several more of your edits to these name lists, but I'm actually second-guessing myself on that decision, and have asked for assistance on our guidelines for these lists. If I've made a mistake, I will be glad to restore your changes. In the short term, will you please hold off on adding any more names to lists? I would appreciate it. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 17:20, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello NoonboryKedabory, after getting a second opinion on this, I do think I was correct to remove the names you've been adding to lists. (You can see the discussion here.)
Lists on Wikipedia really need to be kept to notable topics. While the Rainbow Magic series is very popular (I work in a library and see them circulating quite a bit), unless/until the individual characters have their own articles, they don't really belong on lists.
I realize there may be room for confusion, because a lot of these lists do contain character names that don't have their own articles. That is not standard practice, and I'll be working on removing some of them.
Please don't be discouraged by your early contributions here being removed - it happens to the best of us. As you seem to know about these books, you might think about contributing to the Rainbow Magic page itself. I noticed that it doesn't have a list of fairy names at all, and that would be very appropriate there. If I can help with anything, please let me know. You can reply here, or on my talk page. Disambiguation link notification for January 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Evie (given name), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page No Tomorrow. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

February 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of Fireman Sam characters, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Waxworker (talk) 20:52, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
