Welcome![edit]

Hello, Norran, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Also, thank you for your contributions to Tolkien-related articles (especially Lúthien, I suppose it was you who has edited it anonymously shortly before :). If you are interested, feel free to join WikiProject Middle-earth, a WikiProject focused on improving Tolkien-related articles in Wikipedia. We would be glad to have you join in the effort! Here're some good links and subpages related to the WikiProject.

If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask on our talk page. Again, welcome! Súrendil 07:21, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Beren Luthien.jpg[edit]

For now, I have only one question to you. I see you've uploaded Image:Beren Luthien.jpg, thanks! However, you should properly describe the source of the image: Wikipedia maintains very strict rules about copyrights, and all violating media is deleted; see Wikipedia:Copyrights and Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. So, who is the creator of the image? Has he released it into public domain? Súrendil 07:21, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Súrendil!

The artist is Rowena Morrill, but sadly I am not sure if she has leased her work for public viewing or not. The image will stay on wikipedia, however it does need reference. If you could find anything about Rowena allowing this bautiful painting to be used, then please go ahead, it would really help. Thank you (PS I think its the best picture of Lúthien I've seen)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Beren Luthien.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Beren Luthien.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:47, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Unknown Artist - Dior.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Unknown Artist - Dior.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 11:28, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
