Speedy deletion nomination of File:James Martin (Minnesota politician).jpg

A tag has been placed on File:James Martin (Minnesota politician).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Draft talk:James Martin (Minnesota politician), which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. As I mentioned in my post on Fasily's user talk page, I added this template because it not only contains information about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for COI editing, but also because it contain links to other general pages about Wikipedia editing. When someone who hasn't edited in years returns to suddenly try and create an article about a questionably Wikipedia notable subject, there is often a concern as to why they are doing that. Anyway, I wasn't accusing you of any wrong doing; I was just only trying to make you aware of relevant policies and guideline just in case they might apply to your situation. If, however, you're not connected to Martin in any way and just want to create an article about him, then just ignore the template I added (you can even remove it if you want) and just keep working on the draft.

I did notice that the draft has already been nominated for deletion by another editor named Orange Mike; so, perhaps I'm not the only editor who thought the claim for Wikipedia notability for him is a bit iffy. Even though I think what SmokeyJoe posted about this being still only a draft is correct and as a draft this is probably OK to keep, I don't think this would survive a deletion discussion if this were an article. So, you should try to look for other significant coverage about Martin that goes beyond the lawsuit, etc. if you want to strengthen a case that an article should be written about him. He may be destined for great things as a politician and may be a great person, but unless he can meet WP:BIO (i.e. WP:POLITICIAN) or WP:GNG, it might be WP:TOOSOON for an article to be written about him.
