Nice to know. I see I'm kinda your role model on wikipedia. So, did you join my adoption program as a teacher?--RyRy5 talk 00:55, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I've been wondering, how old are you? If you don't trust me enough, then you don't have to answer? Also, that "role model" thing, I didn't really think that was funny.--RyRy5 talk 01:00, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Re your question re adoption

I posted the following reply to your question at the help desk about adopting users:

At Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user it says "Adopters should not have any recent blocks (last 6 months) or caused vandalism (last 3 months)." I looked at your block log and talk page, and the situation appears to me to be that you were blocked for violating policies, and that you were unblocked not because the original blocks were found to be in error, but because you said you were going to change. Therefore, adopting doesn't seem to be a good idea at this time. I suggest waiting six months. --Coppertwig (talk) 03:27, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Admin coaching

I might consider it, but at the moment you're far from ready to even be considering adminship. Looking over your edit history, I see you have a total of 1807 edits, which is respectable. However, they are arranged as follows:

Namespace Main Talk Sum
(Main) 243 (13.4%) 15 (0.8%) 258 (14.2%)
User: 633 (35.6%) 598 (33.1%) 1231 (68.1%)
Wikipedia: 226 (12.5%) 18 (0.9%) 244 (13.5%)
Other
(Image, Template, Category, etc.)
87 (4.8%) 0 (0%) 87 (4.8%)

So your actual main article space contributions are very low still, only about 13% of your total edits. However, a whopping 68% of your 1807 edits are in the user space. Your breadth of exposure is still quite low as well: you haven't actually contributed in any tangible way to any tasks or projects at all, and to even be considered, you should be able to like at least 3 or 4 major contributions in that area. Finally, to complicate things further you were just recently blocked for lack of contributions.

I suggest you get out there, jump into a couple of projects that you're interested in, and really contribute! Spend less time tinkering with your user page, especially, because this looks very, very bad in an RfA. Good luck! – ClockworkSoul 23:20, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

You don't need a coach, really. Just follow the suggestions I made here, and you'll be well on your way! – ClockworkSoul 23:26, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Looks good, just needs some fixing. Now, I asked you this at least 3 times. Are you a boy/girl and how old are you? Remember, if you don't want to tell me, tell me you don't want to tell me.--RyRy5 talk 01:25, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi RyRy5, it seems to me like you're pressuring N444 to disclose personal information. This doesn't seem like such a great idea to me. Darkspots (talk) 02:37, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
OK. Hi Nothing, I notice that you were inviting people to go to your program. That is not a good idea. It actually means your trying to lure him to the program. If you welcome new users like that, it may start to come up as vandalism. I suggest you take the invite to the mentorship out. Oh, and I noticed that you copied my welcome, kinda...--RyRy5 talk 20:17, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Good. Because if you keep inviting people to your program, you may see few hundreds of people joining, and I don't think you, me, or anybody can handle that.--RyRy5 talk 20:19, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
You can co-adopt some when your done with oreo. I may even ask them to join your instead. What do you think?--RyRy5 talk 20:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
I just wanted to say...sorry...for pressuring you to tell me if your a boy, girl, and your age. It's just that, it's hard to be friends with somebody that you know, if you don't know them (see what I mean).--RyRy5 talk 20:29, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

that works. I'll ask 2 of my adoptees.--RyRy5 talk 20:54, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

You have to add your name here first.--RyRy5 talk 21:36, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Gorgon's Head

An editor has nominated Gorgon's Head, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gorgon's Head and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:00, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Adoption/Mentorship

Hi - I've been following your conversation with RyRy. As you were told, above, you are not qualified to adopt users at this time. The difference between adoption and mentorship is sufficiently vague that I'm going to insist that you not engage in mentoring other users at this time. I'm not convinced that your knowledge of policy is sufficiently broad. Try again six months from the date of expiration of your last block and I'll gladly review the situation then. - Philippe | Talk 21:50, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

See my response here.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:34, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, sorry to hear about your mentorship. Don't take it personally. I'm having some trouble with my program too. I'm not closing down, but I have to slow my program down a little. I do think we both need some more experience. Remember the review I gave you, keep making mainspace edits, I know I have. I hope your OK. Cheer up pal. . If that didn't cheer you up, then this will.--RyRy5 talk 22:41, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
I responded back at WP:AN, if you wanted to check.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Sorry but an essay just can't replace experience or hide block logs. Just be patient and get yourself knee deep in the other exciting parts of Wikipedia during that time ;).¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:56, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
OK, it says here that you have to wait 6 months to adopt. You have no choice but to accept everyones order/suggestion to not start your program until 6 more months.--RyRy5 talk 23:08, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Just be patient! Just follow the guidelines of the program if you truly want to really help out and be beneficial to it. Remember, you get into a program like that to help others. You would be much more help with the experience to guide them about Wikipedia's policies accurately.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:42, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

(unindent) Sorry but if you are not willing to follow some basic guidelines, it does not give enough assurance that you are ready for the mentor program yet. You still need some time.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:48, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I was just discontinuing indenting my post :P...which I have ironically just started another indenting trend again! And yes...it would be a good idea to start smaller and build up your editing skills first.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:54, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
The reason why is because those users had not received a block. The guideline for that program is not set in stone but its the least you should follow if you want to start adopting users. You should give the impression that you not only want to be helpful but responsible.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:59, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Helping Out

Well, just add on to the lessons in the classroom. But remember, add info that you are sure is right info. Good Luck!--RyRy5 talk 01:02, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh, here:--RyRy5 talk 01:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Sorry but you can't do that. I will put it here when it turns blue.--RyRy5 talk 01:27, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I was going to make an archive box but you did instead. Please edit in the mainspace, more. If you reach 500 mainspace edits, I will give you a barnstar, OK. If you want to get your program back without a fight, then mainspace edits will help.--RyRy5 talk 01:30, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
That was only for that lesson. It is OK, your are not teaching. I will put a notice there.--RyRy5 talk 01:31, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Umm I'm not so sure about the classroom idea you both have. First of all, both of you are not exactly experienced Wikipedia users just yet and its turning too much into a RyRy's program and not a Wikipedia program. Also, with WP:ADOPT already existing as well as Virtual classroom (created by other users); this program is somewhat redundant. It may be nominated for deletion because of those factors.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 02:31, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
I cannot force you to do anything, but you cannot help this person as a mentor per se. Giving out a bit of advice is acceptable though. We ain't Nazis here ;).¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 03:04, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Nothing444, I appreciate how enthusiastic you are but you are not really listening to any response I have given you. As I said, none of us can force you not to help someone out but you are still trying to give the impression that you are qualified to "mentor" someone. Also, you basically duplicated RyRy's program and it seems the two of you are more interested in a means of a custom program than helping people. You both can continue if you wish but I do not believe it is a good idea because 1) you need some more time on Wikipedia and you could use much more time understanding policy, 2) you have not really taken the advice of those you contacted, and 3) both programs have a goal for graduation that focuses on increasing the number of contributions but not the quality of contributions (you may want to revise that). However, at the end of the day there is not much harm in either but they need alot of work and really could end up at WP:MFD when programs like WP:ADOPT exist.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:05, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Umm you don't really need to add that quote by the way.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:10, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Well it is not a step. A step would be taking the time to learn about Wikipedia first to be honest :P. Also I would appreciate if you would remove the quote please.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:19, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry RyRy5 for hijacking your title... well the WikiProjects, when I signed up I said "an edit a month for their main article... so what?" A month later, when I had 40 Projects breathing up my necks to do favors, I regretted signing up for so many that I had no clue about. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. If you'd like, you have my permission to add your cabals to my template: User:Diligent Terrier/Cabals, which goes at the bottom of the pages of those cabals. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 00:25, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, just noticed you had already added it. :) - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 00:27, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Deletion of cabals

It looks at though someone went ahead and speedy deleted all the cabals without a consensus! I am asking them to restore the pages. You might want to take a look at this post. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 15:11, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Cabals

Have you heard the latest with the cabal deletion debate? - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 21:39, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah. What do you think of my proposal? - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 21:43, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello, Nothing444. You have new messages at Diligent Terrier's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Yea, but you should also create the Terrier cabal. Nothing444 22:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
What we're trying to do is get these back up on Wikipedia, and you're not helping. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 22:38, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Did you create that Wiki? - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 22:47, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Could you put the image for your latest sponsorship somewhere else? It's messing with the page formatting. Thanks, --Sharkface217 04:25, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

RyRy5

I'm back! Alot has happened. Oh, you spelled patrol wrong on your page.--RyRy5 talk 01:02, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but I have been in a way, forced to fire you as a teacher. My adoptees are mine, not yours. No harm feelings. Cheers.--RyRy5 talk 01:45, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I meant I need to let you go. Your not refered to an employee, since I said "your fired". Funny I said fired though.--RyRy5 Talk read something 05:19, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Re:Bot

You have to give me the link of the newsletter you created. Not the newsletter members list. If the letter is created, please send me the link. Thnaks.--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy? 17:49, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I need the actual newsletter. I cannot deliver that list.--RyRyBot Talk to RyRy? 17:52, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
That explains it. But I really suggest making a newsletter like this. I don't think there is a newsletter that looks like yours. No offense.--RyRyBot Talk to RyRy? 17:58, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
You should ask somebody else. It is really hard to create the first newsletter. How about you ask User:Jj137.--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy? 18:06, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I suggest making the newsletter the same or almost the same colors as Long Island. Or make it an ocean color. Your choice.--RyRy5 Talk to RyRy? 18:10, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
