All Rights Reserved

When a page at the bottom says all rights reserved can you copy the page and use it to make an article on wiki - Trulystand700 —Preceding comment was added at 04:30, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

You can never copy a page or any portion of a page unless the page explicitly releases all rights. All rights reserved is the default and is assumed even if not so stated. What you can do is use the INFORMATION on the page, with a reference to that page, and include that information in your own words in an article. You will want more than one source for any article to have a good article, one source is a bit too light to base a good article on. --NrDg 04:40, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello,

I am Regina Aguirre am writer for HitMusical also I collaborate with Leila Cobo at Billboard Magazine, I do see that you make a wrong staement when you edit Noelia's profile, you said the only good album she has is Nolei with the song TU, YOU ARE WRONG, 40 Grados was a great album ist also a review of that album by Leiula CoBo Billborad Magazine, she states that Noelia sound better that ever, her song "ComoDuele" spend 34 weeks on the top 40 on Billboard and was nominated for Pop Song of the Year in 2006 , this song was also the song of the Sopopera Barrera De Amor, aslo I noticed that you talk about music like and expert and we all do respect a write for music am also a Colaborator for Radio and Records Seccione en Espanol. Noelia ist certified by the RIAA with and GOLD Album, and you don't mention that either, Why? go to RIAA data base and you will find the information also visit allmusic.com and enter Noelia and review all the charts, I feel that you do have a personal issue with this girl and its not fera and its not profesional —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reginaaguirre (talkcontribs) 05:45, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Please post the above on the Noelia discussion page to get inputs from other editors. I am not an expert on any of the above and all that I do for that article is to make sure that it conforms to WP:BLP requirements for good solid references WP:RS for biological articles. I make no judgments of content or of what is correct or not, just what is referenced or not. If you have information that is backed up with a good verifiable reference WP:V from a reliable source, I support adding it to the article, no matter what it says. --NrDg 14:35, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello NrDg, I have one question have see Noeli's mother profile on wikipedia? that is in a complete vilation of content and unverified suorses, lets try to be equal with this two, she is a great singer also but we can see a lot favoritism here, also can you tell me how can we upload and image on Noelia's profile please, or atleast can you send the instructions and i will have my son to do it for me, Thank you. Regina —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reginaaguirre (talkcontribs) 04:17, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia depends on volunteer editors so articles will vary on how well they conform to Wikipedia policy and standards. No favoritism, just different people are working on the articles. Unless you took the pictures yourself, it is unlikely that the photos could be used in a bio article. Images must be free-use and any professionally taken picture is unlikely to be usable because of copyright restrictions. See WP:IUP and WP:FUC for more information. --NrDg 17:47, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

My apologies, but...

I've edited a few pages correctly and am confused... according to IMDB Kat Deluna's age is incorrect. She was born in 1987. I also wanted to add nominations that Kat got this year and did not copyright them. Is that no doable?

Please advise. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by EpicMedia (talkcontribs) 01:36, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Chase Matthews

Remember a while back you told me that TV.com is as reliable as it gets, for Chase's add to the article Zoey 101, I just looked it up and TV.com is NOT a reliable source, I'm going to remove him, unless you find a real reliable source like nick.com, etc. NimiTize 01:53, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Character is listed http://www.nick.com/shows/zoey_101/index.jhtml. I don't get the issue here. This character is in the majority of the episodes created, why do you want to remove him? I will still count removal as unwarranted. --NrDg 02:01, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Rangeblock.

I'm not fully certain how to do a rangeblock in this case: it seems to me that it would affect many more people than just UPN. Unless I'm wrong, I think semi-protection is the best alternative. · AndonicO Hail! 16:41, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Long blocks on one of his IPs isn't going to effect him in any way and will also effect others. It looks like he is using 3 ranges. When I get time I'll see just how big the range blocks need to be. It is not too bad if we just block anons but allow account creation. I've already semi protected some of the articles he regularly hits. He just moves on to others. --NrDg 16:59, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Hannah Montana episodes

Like many series (such as Friends, That 70's Show, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, The Simpsons, and Family Guy as examples) Hannah Montana is a popular series, and I ask if (like all the shows listed above) that I can make a wikipedia page for every single episode. I know for a fact Desperate Housewives has over 80 episodes with their own pages, and all 120 aired episodes of Family Guy have their own pages (not to mention the 415 episodes of The Simpsons with their own pages). I've made "Lilly, Do You Want To Know a Secret?" more comprehensible to read, but can I make all episodes of this award-winning series have their own pages? Please reply on my talk. - Yours truly, S (talk) 23:26, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Replied on your talk page as requested. --NrDg 23:56, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

You know how to lock pages

There appears to more of a content dispute than vandalism on that page although some edits violate biography article policy WP:BLP and need to be undone. To request a page protect go to WP:RPP and follow the instructions bit unlikely to get one in this case. --NrDg 13:50, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

image question

I wanted to check with you before adding it to Danielle Panabaker's article but is this an image that you already deleted? For An Angel (talk) 22:28, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I looked at all the pictures from the same upload batch and tagged them all as needing source information. Uploader ownership is dubious as all taken with different cameras when tagged with a camera. Looks like uploader found on web and just uploaded and falsely claimed ownership. Not a big problem unless included in an article. Please find some other picture to use. These ones will be deleted in a week or so unless the uploader gives some more information to prove ownership. --NrDg 23:35, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

RV Article

Why you will block me? 1st, this is wiki, anyone can be a contributor. Any additional informations are knowledge, this is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary and this is wikipedia, not encarta. If you think that the source is unreliable then put a citation, but please don't erase the additional infos unless they are bias or vandalisms. There are lots of articles here who does the same. And about the removed tag, the video already says what's in the article so that i removed it, but if its still incorrect, then so be it, just tell me, not a final warning for a 1st mistake, it is not good. The article is not yours either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.1.15.222 (talkcontribs) 02:42, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Please help me to have a Semi-Protection the Angel Locsin, Regine Velasquez and Lobo (TV series) pages because of unstoppable Vandalism.{Tomsbrand™ (talk) 07:47, 12 March 2008 (UTC)}

The first has already been protected. I don't see enough anonymous vandalism on the others for a protect to help. Normal process for protects is to request at WP:RPP and follow the instructions on that page - it is pretty easy to do. --NrDg 13:16, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes I did, but I didn't "degrade", as you put it, the page. I've merely added more sources, and made the sources easy enough so another user would be able to copy it similarily. replied on your page. --NrDg 19:03, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, very much. I know we can't make individual pages for Hannah Montana episodes, but how about season pages? Examples like "The Simpsons (season 1)" page, or even better yet, there is a season page for House I think with a GA status. Are season pages allowed? As we could go into further detail about episodes.- Yours truly, S (talk) 23:59, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

I myself don't have a problem with season pages if it is judged the main article is getting too long and needs to be split. See WP:SIZE and WP:SPLIT for more info. I suggest proposing a split in the discussion page of the list of episodes article and seeing if there is any objections before doing it though. There is no hurry. Propose a split using the {{split-apart}} tag and wait a few days. Only thing we have to make sure of is GFDL rules are met which basically means we can't delete the original history and have to have a reference in the new article history back to the old. --NrDg 00:34, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. It's true, if we had season pages, we could go into detail without breaking any guidlines in WP:SIZE or WP:SPLIT. I've added the splitapart tag, and I'll wait at least two-three days?- Yours truly, S (talk) 01:16, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I suggest at least 5 days, again no hurry. I added a discussion section to the talk page. Please add your comments and reasons to the discussion for the record. --NrDg 02:31, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. At least by Wednesday or Thursday, most editors should have seen the tag.- Yours truly, S (talk) 23:55, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

'Kids Choice' vandal

I see you've reverted this roving IP vandal a few times, thought I'd let you know about this: [1] I requested semi-protection on a bunch of his current haunts (and apologized to the admins, I should have been more selective). I'm hoping this will discourage them a little, since sock warning/blocking isn't helping. Will take it to AN/I if he returns. --Bazzargh (talk) 13:14, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Also called User:The UPN Vandal, Category:Suspected_Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_The_UPN_Vandal. Is a well known roving IP mostly using AOL. He usually is pretty easy to recognize, lots of people know about him, and usually gets everything reverted fairly quickly. I've already protected some of his heavily hit pages. There is not much that can really be done as any range block will block all of AOL. I block him immediately that I recognize him. Suggest an immediate WP:AIV when seen with reference to the socks page. --NrDg 14:32, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Look at the page! Isn't it a lot better than before?- Yours truly, S (talk) 01:40, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Looks real good. It is a better organization than the previous relationship based one which I thought was weird. Suggest you add something to the discussion page describing what you did and why. Might head off some conflict. I noticed that some characters weren't included, like Liza the photographer and Joey Vitolo. If an actor gets guest star or higher billing their character should probably be included somewhere. Co Star billed are less important. Are you planning on adding more or are you just going to let it sit for a bit to see what others do? --NrDg 02:16, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for reminding me to cite my sources, I haven't contributed in awhile so my protocol was a little rusty. I added images of the actual CD back cover and spine to the talk page, and also images of the discs. If there's anything else I can do to make it better, please let me know! Cheers... Electrafiction (talk) 18:36, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

You are correct and original title is correct. Disney is not being consistent. We have a dilemma to solve. Lets continue discussion on article talk page and come to some agreement on what to do. Others might wish to add. --NrDg 18:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I gave a rebuttal on the talk page, and hopefully others will weigh in as well. Sorry if the tone of my argument seems harsh, I don't mean it like that. :) Maybe I just feel a bit like the underdog here. I really do appreciate the hard work that you and other admins do on this site. Cheers! Electrafiction (talk) 19:36, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

I apologize for making you feel like an underdog here. I see a lot of vandal edits where minor, but incorrect, changes are deliberately introduced to articles and I have probably gotten a bit too sensitized. You backed up your arguments when requested and you have a well supported position. I see your tone as assertive, not harsh, which is fine with me. Only recommendation is read WP:BRD. With strong opposition need to get to the discus part quickly so don't get into an edit war although I suppose when you KNOW you are right that seems unnecessary. Anyway I put the proposed move tag on the article. Let's wait about 5 days to see what others have to say and see if we can gain consensus. If move is the decision, I'll help with the cleanup. --NrDg 20:56, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

We Got the Party

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article We Got the Party, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I doubt that this was actually a vandalism reversion. If you look, you see that Prepelos's last edit was removing one of my warnings from her talk page, and then 86.153.230.121 took care of the rest. I'm pretty sure that 86.153.230.121 is Prepelos. Whether the switching back and forth is intentional or accidental is an exercise for the reader.Kww (talk) 19:11, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Possible, but I just saw an IP modify comments on a registered user's talk page and made no judgment of sockpuppetry.--NrDg 19:23, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Content disputes need to be worked out via discussion. I tagged facts likely to be non-notable and dubious and removed a blatant BLP violation due to a fan gossip site being used as a reference. --NrDg 19:23, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Season articles

For the season articles, four (me + you + 2 others) agree on the plan; should we start getting ready for the switch? Plus, what do you think: should the list of episodes pages have plots, or just the titles?- Yours truly, S (talk) 19:42, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

First thing is to just create the two season pages with a cut and paste from the source article. The source article must remain and the edit history of the season pages must state the source of the contents. Suggest leaving just a list of episode titles in the original article and the non-season related stuff there as well. After the basic split is done we can figure out what is wanted in the season pages. --NrDg 19:50, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Of course. How's this for the "list of episodes" page?
# Original airdate Prod. Code Title

Mistake??

You posted on my talk page that I should refrain from adding unsourced material to pages as I did on the Freddie Prinz, Jr. page. You are mistaken. I have never added material any article whatsoever; I have only participated in discussion pages. I had no idea even who Freddie Prinz, Jr. was. I asked and am told he is a telvision actor. I haven't owned a TV ever in my life and have not seen an episode of any television series in well over forty years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.13.88.86 (talk) 15:56, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Do it properly with a new AfD, not one that points to an old closed debate. Usual sequence is to propose a delete - see WP:PROD first then if people object do the AfD - See WP:AFD for info on how to do it properly. Suggest you don't waste our time with this, though, as there is sufficient reliably sourced references to prove notability and the AfD will result in a keep decision. Up to you though if that is what you want to do. --NrDg 21:20, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
