Community Resilience[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Community Resilience, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Community Resilience. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draco Foundation (NZ) Charitable Trust requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Nzresilience (talk) 22:01, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removed the speedy deletion request from this article and instead blanked it and listed it at WP:CP. I note that you added the template above to your own user page but this is not how you give copyright permission, instead you should follow the instructions in it.

I should warn you however that even if we get permission to use the material I think it's very debatable that we will keep the article as I am failing to find any reliable sources to show the notability of your organisation. I suggest you read the two policies I've linked to and decide whether you think it's worth the effort to supply permission. From your edit summaries I suspect your already aware but if not you should also read our conflict of interest guideline and neutral point of view policy.

Finally you sure be aware that we don't allow accounts that are edited by more than one person. Related to this we also don't allow accounts name that suggest a user is editing on behalf of a company or organisation and so I suggest you request a change of user name. All of this is described in our username policy.

Welcome to wikipedia and I hope none of this puts you off. I hope you can understand why we hvae ot be so careful with copyright issues even if it can give a bad impression to new users. If you have any questions please feel free to ask them here or on my user page. Dpmuk (talk) 03:56, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you sent the e-mail as described then that should suffice. These things normally take a couple of days to be dealt with as these e-mails are also dealt with by volunteers. Once the one of those volunteers has read and is satisfied with your e-mail they're remove the blanking tag from the page. If they have any questions they should e-mail you. In the mean time we must keep the page blank as we don't have confirmed permission. Unfortunately patience is the key here.
The source you have given does not unfortunately establish notability as far as wikipedia is concerned. There is a consensus that simply being incorporated does not show notability. I believe this is largely because such coverage would not be considered independent and in-depth although it was sometime ago that I last read any discussion on this. I believe thee are some signs of notability thee as a google news search turns up a couple of articles about court cases so I don't believe that this article should be speedy deleted for lack of notability but unless more sources can be found I'm not sure it would survive at WP:AfD. WP:ORG may be worth a read.
I'm not too worried about the conflict of interest issue as you seem to be going about things the right way, I just wanted to make sure you were aware of our guidelines. Dpmuk (talk) 21:23, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
