Oakster[edit]

I am personally inviting you to join the Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling. I saw your work on the pro wrestling articles and if you are a fan of wrestling, I hope you join our project. -- SWD316 15:32, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for images[edit]

Hi Oakster. I have noticed that you have uploaded some images like Image:Wwesmackdownvsrawps2.jpg which have been properly tagged, but you have not provided the source for them. Please do so as soon as possible as images without proper source information may be deleted from Wikipedia. Thank you and happy editing. --Jtalledo (talk) 02:46, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Thanks for the headup. --Oakster 14:28, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Carlito image deletion[edit]

Obviously I didn't spend a lot of time uploading Image:IC_Carlito.jpeg, but if you note the upload date between it and Image:CarlitoChamp.jpg, I uploaded the image about two months before the other image. Normally, it makes more sense to list duplicate rather than original content for deletion. Just an FYI. --Chrysaor 16:05, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Bah, you're right about it. I'll make the necessary edits to fix this all up. Thanks for noting it to me. --Oakster 16:39, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WrestleMania 22 EDITS[edit]

Hey, thank you for your contributions to the WrestleMania 22 article. Unfortunatly the article has been subject to revert after revert after revert. Help cleaning it up would be appreciated. Thanks. -- User:HCTPdpTalk 14:11, 05 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I am[edit]

I am a fan of ECW, and TNA, and a bit of the Wwe I will join, but I have something you might want to join, just go to Wikicities, go to the list of wiki links, and select Dynasty Warriors (note:this is a video game)if your interested to join it. Whopper 00:37, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh ok[edit]

I am sorry about this, but I think you would do good on the kindo stick section:) so enough about that. Are you a fan of ECW or TNA? Whopper 21:20, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wrestling Event Infoboxes[edit]

Do you need any help putting them all in? There's an awful lot of PPVs out there and I'd be glad to lend a hand. tv316 14:05, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I don't follow TNA, but I'll follow the TNA chronological listing of TNA PPVs. tv316 14:10, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Are there images for the TNA PPVs? tv316 14:12, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Glad to help. Sorry about all the little errors here and there. What are you doing next? I'll do something opposite so we don't run into each other. tv316 15:02, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For the PPVs like Unforgiven and No Mercy that took place in different years but are all in one page, should we be adding templates? I created an example of what it may look like here - User:Tv316/Sandbox. tv316 15:24, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I'll keep the example up on my Sandbox. Feel free to link it to the others in the project. Let me know when and I'll start working on the rest. tv316 15:30, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have a barnstar![edit]

WWE Album[edit]

My apologies i didnt know they had said that, based on how nearly every wrestling site reported it as reckless i changed it. I haven't seen that article. (Lil crazy thing 07:13, 23 March 2006 (UTC))[reply]

InvisionFree / ZetaBoards[edit]

Hi there, just wanted to thank you for cleaning up the InvisionFree article. I just wanted to add the ZetaBoards info in there last night, and was going to expand on it today, but I'm glad you did it for me. thanks for your contribution --Zeerus (ETC) 02:33, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007[edit]

I was just about to create it but you got there. Anyway, some of it has been changed but most of the information is still there. --Thorpe | talk 21:14, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That would of been my second created article for the series. You just had to get in there. ;-) I'll be there for 2008, don't you worry. --Thorpe | talk 21:17, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WWE SmackDown! series template[edit]

The WWE SmackDown! series template doesn't categorise games in the WWE SmackDown! games category. Wouldn't it be best if the template has that category on it so you couldn't have to keep putting the category on the article page as it would already be included from the template? I hope you get what I mean. --Thorpe | talk 23:54, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, by the way your user page was created by someone. Do you want me to delete it as you didn't edit it or is it ok? --Thorpe | talk 23:56, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, I can't believe that I actually remember inviting you the the wrestling WikiProject, that was back in August. Wow, I can't believe for that long we've known each other. Well, I would like to keep in touch with you no matter what happens. Peace.. Moe ε 21:27, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Oakster, just thought I would let you know that I was leaving Wikipedia, but before I left, I finally got a picture of thyself onto Wikipedia. (I know great timing for me to post a picture of myself, right?) This is my final gift to my friends. Later! PS. Try not to laugh to hard at my ugly mug ok? Moe ε 16:57, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for joining the music of wrestling wikiproject, much appreciated. Kingfisherswift 10:27, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent template - if we need more, can I count on you to do them? Kingfisherswift 16:28, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About more templates, any chance of a userbox? Nothing fancy, just something to stick on your userpage. That would be great. Kingfisherswift 17:37, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are phenomenal - that's brilliant. Love the colour. Also, I checked out the Wreckless Intent page - it's really good. I'll put the template on the project page. Kingfisherswift 17:58, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 name change[edit]

I see you changed the name to what IGN have it listed at. This name is most likely not the right one and will probably be different nearer the release date as it follows the capitalisation of the previous games. --Thorpe | talk 10:47, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Just thought I'd drop by and say hi - Haven't spoken to anyone in a while. Can you help me with something - I'd like to learn to upload images and make userboxes - can you teach me how please? That would be brilliant. Kingfisherswift 08:54, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh mighty Oakster, king of userboxes. Thank you for giving me that link, it helped immensely. However, I cannot transfer it from HTML to a simplified version. (Instead of typing, say, User:Content of box, you have to type in all the HTML. Can you tell me how to simplify it down please? Thanks. Kingfisherswift 15:57, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you - it worked!!!. Oh, we're good. Kingfisherswift 16:09, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ECW[edit]

I hadn't realized you had already created a page for ECW on Sci-Fi. If I had known that, I could have just renamed it Extreme Championship Wrestling (WWE). It would have saved us a lot of work. Oh well. --JFred 21:56, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007[edit]

Sure, if you want to. The title will eventually have the same case as the previous game anyway. --Thorpe | talk 11:39, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:A-League userbox[edit]

Hey. I understand you are very good at making userboxes and templates. If so, I was wondering if you could do a massive favour for me. I'm not good with making userboxes and I feel one is needed for WP:A-League. If you are interested leave a message on my talk page. Normy 07:11, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks heaps man. Alright in the box I'll need "This user is a member of WikiProject A-League". In the logo I wouldn't mind having "A-L". For the colours I'd like yellow text with a orange background on the logo and on the box I'd like orange text with an yellow background. When its done can you put it on my talk page? Thanks heaps again. Normy 08:55, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2006 Raw/Smackdown results[edit]

Sorry, I am a new user to this site. I was wondering what was wrong with the pages I was trying to create. My thinking was; the PPV results are all posted, why not post the matches leading up to the PPV? -- Countryrocker87, 15:20 PM, June 6, 2006

Wrestling vote[edit]

Hiya Oakster. Over at the wrestling project page Lakes has initiated a vote, as to whether Canada/Oz/NZ/UK should have metric or imperial first. Do you think you could spare the time to pop over and vote, Yorkie?;o)regards(Halbared 09:29, 7 June 2006 (UTC))[reply]

SummerSlam[edit]

The articles were titles that for a reason. The name of the pay per views were all called SummerSlam, not SummerSlam YEARNAME. Proper disambiguation is not renaming the pay per view. All of them are being reverted. I would prefer you create redirects to the article than mass move pages again. — The King of Kings 23:13 June 23 '06

Thanks. — The King of Kings 13:30 June 24 '06
Well, I would rather the logo stay in the info boxes, but a poster of the article placed on the side somewhere would neaten it up a lot. If you could I would be most grateful. Cheers,, and thanks! — The King of Kings 21:31 June 26 '06
Thanks for the uploads. :D Mind me asking if there was one for 1988? — The King of Kings 16:46 June 27 '06
I dont newspaper articles would be best either, but thanks for checking at least. :) — The King of Kings 16:56 June 27 '06
*eye twitch* HAHA, I finally found the SummerSlam 1988 promotional poster. I uploaded it and placed it on the article. I also uploaded several logos of the past SummerSlams 1988 - 1994 were thier logos were all differant. I also got match times and the officals names. Now these articles are improving. :-) — The King of Kings 03:09 June 28 '06

I would try to seperate notes and trivia as much as possible. Notes would be storyline things that happen, like when Kane "no showed" his match, but in reality, he was hiding in the dumpster waiting for Mankind to lose (this happened in SummerSlam 1998). I would add a seperate section for trivia. I'm about to do that if I have any with the SummerSlam articles. The only place that really should have any kind of table format is the Royal Rumble articles and the Elimination Chamber results which take place in various pay per views. I would try to remain with a bullet format like the SummerSlam articles for the results, but table format for the Royal Rumble matches. Hopefully I can give you a hand once I'm finished with SummerSlam. :-) — The King of Kings 22:15 June 30 '06
I've looked over something and I also came to the conclusion notes should be added into the results (see articles like 1989 SummerSlam to see a minor example). I still think Trivia should be set aside to one section, but things happened during the match should definantly be with the results. Hope this helps. — The King of Kings 00:38 July 01 '06

Thats a good question. I was thinking something like:

  • SmackDown! brand - WWE Championship match: NAME def. NAME2

So basically I would put the brand name before the match type like above. If there was two brands it would be something like:

  • Interpromotional - WWE Championship match: NAME (RAW) def. NAME2 (SmackDown!)

Could I also suggest something else. Could you use the better looking list format I have going at the SummerSlam articles, it would help improve the look greatly. — The King of Kings 22:18 July 03 '06

Yes, very good. :-) I made one change to expand the table format across the page though. — The King of Kings 22:38 July 03 '06
Hopefully I'll get done with my SummerSlam articles before you finish. :D — The King of Kings 22:45 July 03 '06

SummerSlam articles[edit]

Hey Oakster, I'm going on wikibreak for a little while and I'm wondering if you could finish up 2002-2005 of the SummerSlam articles for me. I have a hard time concentrating right now and need some time away and the last thing I can do is properly finish up the series of articles. Whenevr I return, I can always look at it, but I need some time away. — The King of Kings 17:20 July 11 '06

Thanks for finishing SummerSlam 2002 while I was gone. I guess since I'm back from my break, I'll get back on top of the SummerSlam articles so I can stop pestering you :D Thanks for the congrats before I left too. :) — The King of Kings 16:11 July 14 '06

How do you know what you do about Mike Sparks?[edit]

WrestleMania X8[edit]

Could you please help summarize this [1]? I keep telling him it's full of grammar errors, weasel words, and peacock terms, yet he still keeps adding it. If you could help me summarize the match to be consistent with other matches in the article I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.--3bulletproof16 21:38, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TheTruth2 has been reported. If you would like to leave a comment concerning the situation please do so here. I find it strange that when he is referred to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling show formatting or any other guideline for that matter, he claims that he has already read them and that his edits "still follows the guidelines". another suggestion "billed from" and "hometown" as many tag teams came from and are billed from the smae place... ---Paulley 10:14, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RAW is Owen[edit]

I put this article (along with several other wrestling articles) up for deletion a few days ago. On Sunday, I deleted the others as the main consensus was deletion. However, RAW is Owen had a variety of views, therefore I gave it no consensus and it therefore was kept. I have just tried to get onto the article, but it just redirects to the Owen Hart page. Could somebody of possibly changed it to delete and deleted the article. I'm a bit mystified to why this has happened. Is their any way to reinstate it? Davnel03 18:30, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
