Notability of Galaxyworld resort[edit]

A tag has been placed on Galaxyworld resort, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

The same applies to the article Grand waldo hotel.Bonadea 12:35, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies for not responding to your first post to my talk page. (I thought I'd responded but obviously not - the danger of working with too many tabs at once.)

First, I didn't remove the Galaxyworld Resort or Grand Waldo Hotel articles - I'm not an administrator and can't remove pages. I did flag them for the attention of the admins, though, since from what I could see, there wasn't any indication in the articles about why the hotels/resorts were notable. Apparently, the administrators who looked at the pages agreed (you can see who actually performed the page removal if you click on the red article titles here: Galaxyworld resort and Grand waldo hotel). A specific hotel isn't necessarily notable in itself, particularly not if it is in the planning stages - but then again, it might be. You need to provide verifiable sources as to why the subject of an article is notable.

Hope that helped. Regards, --Bonadea 19:18, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Macau Kiosk[edit]

I fail to see how these external links are not spam www.cotaicasinonews.com and www.thecotaicasinos.com if you consider our information web site spam. How are these sites allowed if you do not allow www.macaukiosk.com? Please respond. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.101.209.48 (talk) 22:56, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

--you have a history of spamming not only the Cotai Strip page, but several other pages. You have been warned several times by others that you will be blocked if you continue to spam. Your site is primarily Macau related and you obviously have a commercial interest given the many other "Kiosk" sites you try to promote on Wiki. I keep the other two sites becauase they are both dedicated solely to Cotai and I consider both to be comprehensive sources of information for people looking to learn more about Cotai. Next time you spam these pages you will be blocked. Oldsnakeeyes 23:58, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are is lot of "I" in your response... Showing preferntial treatment for other commercial sites should not really be allowed on wiki - which it appears to be happening with you. These sites have google ads on them as well. For the record, I have no problem with these sites being listed.

We are building out a lot of content on Cotai Strip and Cotai on Macau Kiosk (including the most up to date map of the strip) in the next few months and hope that you will reconsider this content not as spam but as a source of "information for people looking to learn more about Cotai". Thank you for your feedback. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.105.78.82 (talk) 18:41, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
