A tag has been placed on File:WOTWS02 title image.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- /Alex/21 00:15, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies (DefTech)[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give to DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies (DefTech) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Afghanistan[edit]

Hi Ominae, I notice on National Directorate of Security you [changed] the image a few weeks ago. The DVIDS description is that it is a "Afghan Special Security Forces operator". As its described as ASSF, why did you name it "NDS SF operator range" on Commons when you uploaded it and also describe it in the article as a "A NDS commando". Also, on Commons you named two files described as "Afghan Special Security Forces", as "NDS SF operator movement" and "NDS SF operators target practice". DVIDS has NDS images such as the previous image on the article described as a "National Directorate of Security member".--Melbguy05 (talk) 16:17, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Melbguy05: I only did that based on UN-backed literature that mentions that the NDS has a Special Forces unit. Feel free to change it if you wish. Ominae (talk) 04:50, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the image on National Directorate of Security back to the 2013 image. I also put in a move request for the three images on Commons from NDS to ASSF. I notice you uploaded a few CRU 222 images. There isn't an article for the National Mission Units (NMU) of the General Command of Police Special Units (GCPSU) such as Crisis Response Unit 222. Perhaps Afghan Special Narcotics Force could be renamed to General Command of Police Special Units. Alternatively, renamed to National Mission Unit for the three units (was expanded to six) and briefly mention the other GCPSU unit the Provincial Special Unit (PSU).--Melbguy05 (talk) 11:03, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Melbguy05: Not sure if the ANSF is under the GCPSU before the Taliban took over. That has to be double checked. Ominae (talk) 11:13, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Department of Defense December 2020 Enhancing Security and Stability In Afghanistan reported that the GCPSU had six National Mission Units (NMU).[1] The SIGAR July 2021 Quarterly Report reported the GCPSU as part of the Afghan Special Security Forces (ASSF).[2] The Lead Inspector General for Operation Freedom’s Sentinel May 2021 Quarterly Report and the SIGAR April 2021 Quarterly Report both reported that in January 2021 the Afghan National Army Special Operations Command was given operational command of the General Command of Police Special Units.[3][4]--Melbguy05 (talk) 12:00, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Melbguy05: As long as they're something that can back it up, even with the GCPSU name. Been a while since I last read up on them. Ominae (talk) 12:41, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a reference for the patch that the operator is wearing in Commons File:ASSF operator movement.jpg that it is NDS?--Melbguy05 (talk) 13:07, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Melbyguy05: The first post, third photo visible. Assume all of the guys with helmets/AKs are NDS spec ops. They're identified with that patch. Ominae (talk) 13:42, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ClueBot archives with months[edit]

You added

|archiveprefix=Talk:Kyoei Toshi/Archive
|format= %%i|numberstart=1|age=2160|header={{automatic archive navigator}}|maxarchsize=100000|minkeepthreads=4

. How about it? Sawol (talk) 03:12, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Missing cite in RPG-29[edit]

You have added a short cite to "Galeotti (2015)" but no such source is listed in the bibliography. Can you please add? Or is it a typo in year? Also, suggest installing a script to highlight such errors in the future. Arjun tank potential operators[edit]

Hlo there!, Seen your recent edit on arjun tanks page. I would also recommend you to add the colombia to the potential operators page as it have shown Keen interest to buy 110 arjun Mk1 tanks which didn't progressed well due to strict indian arms export laws. [Source: https://www.hindustantimes.com/india/a-first-foreign-interest-in-arjun-tank/story-stz3ErilImE0UUvTLpl2hM_amp.html ] The page has been protected so only extended users can edit. On 27 April 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Malyuk, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Malyuk rifle was originally developed as a private venture under a contract with the Security Service of Ukraine? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Malyuk. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Malyuk), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
