Information icon Hello, I'm Nkon21. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Non-primary sources are needed in order to justify a big claim such as the one you added. Also, do not add wikilinks to pages still in draftspace. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 22:36, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Graham Ivan Clark requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Per WP:BLPCRIME and WP:PERPETRATOR, an article should not be created until the accused is actually convicted

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Premature mention of suspect's identity on 2020 Twitter bitcoin scam[edit]

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at 2020 Twitter bitcoin scam. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Deryck C. 22:59, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus at Talk:2020 Twitter bitcoin scam#Premptive caution right now is to NOT name the accused in the article per the established policy on non-notable and non-convicted accused at WP:BLPCRIME and WP:PERPETRATOR. You are welcome to discuss this on the talk page, but please stop edit warring against the established consensus or you may end up being blocked. Nathan2055talk - contribs 23:37, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I did not intend to edit war. I believe I cited appropriate sources with a factual statement about the state of affairs regarding the event. I understand there is a distinct and separate discussion about the name of the accused (and now charged) minor. My understanding of wikipedia is that contributions may be added directly to the article rather than discussed ahead of time if they are factual, abide by the wikipedia policies, and are appropriately sourced. My intention was not to cause conflict but to provide meaningful and accurate content to the article. My sincere apologies if I have unknowingly violated written policies or established social norms among editors. Thank you. One-point-twenty-one-jigawatts (talk) 23:55, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Deryck Chan: I have reviewed your claim and I believe it is not accurate. The content I contributed is sourced with multiple sources and it appears that the page editors have retained the contribution at 2020 Twitter bitcoin scam. If you agree, I would sincerely appreciate your removing the claim against me above. If you do not agree, I would sincerely appreciate a precise account of exactly why the content and sources violate wikipedia policy (which I believe they do not). Thank you. I get your point and have retitled this section and struck out the warning I gave. Please follow the discussion at Talk:2020 Twitter bitcoin scam#Premptive caution; I don't have anything else to add that what other editors have already said. Deryck C. 00:20, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
