ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:13, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Invite to use WikiLoop Battlefield

Hi Orphan Wiki,

I found that you are a power user for the counter-vandalism tool STiki. First of all, Kudos! Thank you for help protecting Wikipedia.

Secondly, we are building a new web-based counter-vandalism tool, hoping to make it easier to use, and wonder if you would be interested in giving it a try here: http://battlefield.wikiloop.org, and kindly give us feedback at Wikipedia talk:WikiLoop Battlefield, thank you!

We currently started whitelist for DIRECT ROLLBACK features, if you are interested, ask us at Wikipedia talk:WikiLoop Battlefield too. User:Xinbenlv (talk) 09:13, 10 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi @Xinbenlv:, hope you're well, and many thanks for your message. Yes I am an experienced rollbacker, and am a big user of STiki, as well as HG and TW.
I am more than happy to give your tool a try and provide some feedback for you. I will have a little more time over the weekend, so I'll try and set aside some time to look at it then if that's OK :)
Best wishes, Orphan Wiki 21:42, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
That's great, thank you Orphan Wiki! xinbenlv Talk, Remember to "ping" me 22:44, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
No problem. :) I have had my first play around with it, and have left my initial thoughts on the designated talk page. Orphan Wiki 23:26, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

May 2020

Hi Orphan Wiki, Thank you for the correction on my recent edit Manoj Gajurel. But I have some queries about this.

I have added the Gallery, External links, Prize & Honours section, and some content.

  • External links that I have added were related to this article.
  • The gallery already was in Nepali Wiki, I have just added for this English Wiki.
  • In Prize & Honours section; I have added with respective citation.
  • and the content I have added was without reference. (I am going to add the reference for this.)

How can we add these things with a neutral point of view? Can you elaborate some more?:) Thanks --Janak Bhatta (talk) 16:33, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi there, yes the reversion was made on account of neutrality, so by all means re-add the external links (providing they are from a respectable source: please refer to Wikipedia:External links). As long as the content in Prizes and Honours is cited, then that should be fine too.
The other things you added will also need a reference, but just be careful with wording. Previously, you put; ...is excellent in copying the get-up. Saying that what the article subject did is 'excellent' is offering your own point of view. An encyclopedia needs to be written in a neutral way.
Hopefully this helps, let me know if you have any further questions. Orphan Wiki 17:28, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

Edit

Hi Orphan Wiki, I recently moved into the house I am living in now and have just gone onto Wikipedia to research the Hungarian footballer Ferenc Puskas out of curiosity.

I just received a notification at the top of the page mentioning a new message and that you edited an edit this IP Address made to Subin Limbu's Wikipedia page but you did not leave a link to the edit itself.

Obviously, this was not me, so I'm quite confused as to what the edit actually was.

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.40.202.246 (talk) 00:54, 18 January 2021 (UTC)

If someone else made the edit on the same IP address, then the message doesn't apply to you. Consider creating an account to receive messages particular to you, and not ones which apply to users of the same IP address. Orphan Wiki 09:07, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
