Geographic or Ethnic?[edit]

What is this list based on, Geographic or Ethnic? Baloch is so scatterred nation from middle east to western india, that there are many small tribes which are not mentioned here. It is because it has been in the practice of baloch nation that its sub-tribes become major tribes with the passage of time after their migrations. These sub-tribes are found with the name of Grand father or Grand Grand Father or with the name of the place where they live or the profession which they do. So many tribes are in process of creation and many will come in future. According to me Major tribes may be Lashari, Rind, Bughti, Mari, Dombki and "Jatoi and Talpur"(Baloch in sindh and Punjab). Others may be subtribes or Brahuis and Jagdal.

We have to references confirming the mother tongue of tribes listed under Baloch tribes. Some Baloch tribes listed here speak Brahui, Pashto and Persian. AlphaGamma1991 (talk) 13:50, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Majority of these tribes are not even baloch in origin but rather Pashtuns and Arabs. I'm pretty sure the Mohammadzai's were NOT Baloch but Pashtun tribe and a notable monarchy who belonged to that tribe, same with Qathan which is an Arab tribe and has nothing to do Balochis. You can say a lot of these names are theifed by balochis. Akmal94 (talk) 05:51, 24 March 2015 UTC
