Hi Justin. I was trying to use the same track listing template as most of the other templates for the artist's album articles, in order to give the pages the same style/layout. Was that wrong of me? As for the font size, the way, or places, I used it has been used in many other articles. But maybe it's not a correct way to do it? OttoJohn (talk) 09:24, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

Otto, thanks for asking: the small HTML tag is for fine print, so it should only be used for warranties, disclaimers, terms of service, etc. You can use {{small}} to make text visually smaller without any semantic meaning. As for the track listing styles, see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums/Album_article_style_advice#Track_listing: there are several ways to present a track listing and they are all valid, so changes to them without consensus is similar to WP:CITEVAR or WP:ENGVAR style issues. ―Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 20:08, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

Formatting of "the" and "a/an" and infobox chronologies

Hi – thank you very much for your improvements to the Madness albums... one of my favourite bands, and I hope someday to get hold of back copies of NME and other music magazines to add contemporary reviews, quotes and information about these records. I just wanted to point out that while you have correctly changed the word "the" to lower case when we talk about band names in the text, e.g. "Ray Davies, the lead singer of the Kinks", when we talk about album or magazine titles, or basically anything that would be in italics on Wikipedia, "the" should stay capitalised. So the online review magazine is The Arts Desk, not the Arts Desk, and "Suggs appeared on The Radio 2 Breakfast Show", for example. See MOS:THEMUSIC for the explanation. Just to let you know for future editing, because these will have to be changed in the edits you've already made.

The other issue is that there is a consensus to only use one chronology for all album types... the discussion is here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums/Archive 62#Multiple infobox chronologies. So we don't put one chronology for studio albums, another for compilation albums only, etc... they all go in a single chronology, so a studio album may be followed by a live album, which may be followed by a compilation. I definitely think there's enough information available to get an album like The Rise and Fall to good article level - I'm a member of the British Library and they have all the old music magazines like NME and Melody Maker in there, but obviously the pandemic has put a stop to my visits over the last two years.
