Mahmud of Ghazni[edit]

Thanks for the correction on the Lahore being the first great Islamic capital of SA thing. I have made a much more neutral and reliable edit now that just specifies NW India to Punjab. Arlinosam (talk) 01:55, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You removed information based on your opinionated expressions.[edit]

Greetings, I noticed you removed information about the article Gujarat Sultanate as you cited the information is "low sources". That is not a valid reason to remove any information, and you cannot opinionate anything based on your views and expressions. GujaratiHistoryinDNA (talk) 19:07, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@GujaratiHistoryinDNA: Those were not my views, but none of them are anywhere close to reliable scholarly sources which is what I meant from low-quality - WP:HISTRS
 • This one doesnot have the name of author and it's apparently from a self-published press - see WP:USINGSPS
 • Second one is probably of even more inferior quality, again another self-published work from two random authors who seems anything but professional historians.
PS:- We don't promote fringe views from random authors or easily accessed books which wrote whatever they like and is not even remotely related to the academic consensus on the subject. I am not a expert on the subject - but still as a history expert and being around for a year on the enclyopedia, sources like those are below par to say the least, Cheers. ∆ P&t ♀√ (talk) 19:36, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the discussion here after reverting an edit on Muzaffar Shah I - here 1, I would like to point out that the second ref is based on republished articles of Wikipedia. Lastly, what I read and as pointed above we don't use it. The other two references are also dubious to say the least, one seems to be a book of coaching class. Similar additions were made on two more pages related to Muzaffar Shah I, which I have reverted. Akalanka820 (talk) 10:17, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Akalanka820: My main point was that these references which GujaratiHistoryinDNA cited are too poor for even normal standards let alone for a extradordinary claim is not a academic consensus on the subject. I am tired of dealing with caste-related articles (dealing with such fringe elements) and as result not editing them much of late. ∆ P&t ♀√ (talk) 18:23, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Give me your proof it is a poor source? I cited THREE SOURCES. GujaratiHistoryinDNA (talk) 21:10, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
GujaratiHistoryinDNA just see this reference you had added- 2, the details of it exactly says that the content are from Wikipedia articles - "High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Muzaffarid dynasty were sultans of Gujarat in western India from 1391 to 1583. The founder of the dynasty was Zafar Khan Muzaffar (later Muzaffar Shah I) who was governor of Gujarat under the Delhi Sultanate..." . It is a reference based on wikipedia articles not an academic reference. On Wikipedia, mirror contents are not used. Read WP:SPS, WP:MAF. You don't need rocket science to understand this. Akalanka820 (talk) 04:13, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
GujaratiHistoryinDNA your first reference added- 3, does not even have writers name, it has an editor's name there and they have collated it into a book (first page of it says). Now, please read what is WP:RS, WP:HISTRS, this reference added by you is not an academic reference at all as per it. You have already removed that rarebook third reference you added. That is another case of WP:SPS. If you are too much adamant on adding your content, please get an academic reference. And please don't write your opinionated statements... , these are not my opinion or the other editor's opinion. Now, you have been explained not by one but by two, therefore better not edit war on it. Akalanka820 (talk) 04:35, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Akalanka820: Is M.S. Naravane a competent source, does it passes the WP:HISTRS criteria - this one ? ∆ P&t ♀√ (talk) 00:47, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Response[edit]

Hi, Naravane is a retd Wing Commander, every one jumps into history stuffs. He is definitely not a historian. Akalanka820 (talk) 04:03, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Akalanka820: Indeed, thanks. ∆ P&t ♀√ (talk) 06:22, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

you are everywhere reverting everything[edit]

Seriously GujaratiHistoryinDNA (talk) 07:46, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@GujaratiHistoryinDNA: Obvious trolling ! Unless a specific diff. is added. ∆ P&t ♀√ (talk) 04:16, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ghor[edit]

this revert is thoroughly inappropriate. If you believe consensus is needed for the recent additions, you need to revert to the version before your recent contested additions (specifically, this addition); anything else is rank hypocrisy. Vanamonde (Talk) 19:19, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Vanamonde93: Hello Vanamonde, I already mentioned my concern with their version with plethora of RS that proved that their version is full of basic factual errors and uneeded verbiage and not just reverted it by branding the sources as dated - it's insulting to the great scholars like K.A. Nizami and ABM Habibullah as well. Although, if you think I need to garner consensus for that as well regarding varied aspect of identity of his assassins - feel free to discuss it after few days, you can revert my this this addition as well, no issues. ∆ P&t ♀√ (talk) 23:56, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really care about the content, and I'm not getting into the weeds. A revert demanding consensus is a revert based on WP:ONUS, and that applies to all disputed content. If you're only reverting content you object to, that's plain edit-warring, and is sanctionable. Please remove your own additions also, and gain consensus for them. Vanamonde (Talk) 15:02, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Chitrangada Mori and mass reverting[edit]

Hi Packer&Tracker. When you make reverts you need to make sure to not revert errors back into the article as you did here. If they have been multiple edits after the edit you wish to undo, it's usually best to manually remove the additions rather than mass reverting back to a prior version. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 20:48, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The concept of Khokhar "Fidai" among historians[edit]

See my response on the talk page. But I do not know how to get input from other users. Your own talk page shows you have a history of removing content regarding the identity of the 'assasins', since october 2022 so I don't really give any value to your argument alone.--Mydust

Password[edit]

admin help

I'm Packer&Tracker, a regular editor here for over a year now. Due to some of the personal reasons, off late I am not really editing Wikipedia (last few months), not even skimming it, as a result, unfortunately I forgot my password and can not have an access to my account. I tried to reset my password through mail, but I am not getting the mail either, I recollects now that I removed my email from my preferences which may very well be the reason that I am not getting the mail.

Could anyone help me out of these, as previously I do have a gmail account associated with these account (send a mail on that) or I can share a gmail account directly here, so that I can reset my password ? 203.81.241.96 (talk) 08:03, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, if you have lost the password to your account and there is no email address associated with it, there is nothing you can do other than start a new account (being sure to link to the old account). See Wikipedia:FAQ/Technical § How do I recover a password I have forgotten?. If you want more help, change the help me-helped back into a help me, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 08:25, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Primefac: I'm gutted that I have to log into a new account again. Couldn't it work out like that i.e. - I share an email address directly here, so that I can reset my password ? (mail the temporary password there) Thanks. 203.81.241.96 (talk) 09:36, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The short answer to that is no. The account has no attached email address, so there is nowhere for the password reset to go. It would be a really bad idea to be able to send password resets to any random email account... Primefac (talk) 10:35, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pawar and associated pages[edit]

Hi, i recently came across some of the pages like Pawar and states like Dhar State. As per my knowledge, the Puar and Parmar are not same. They belong to different caste groups like Maratha and Rajput. I have removed some unsourced content. Can you check the Pov addition on related pages ? Ravana Rajput History[edit]

Respected madam, I need your help to change the Ravana Rajputs article which contains some bad words like concubines and salves. There is not any concubines word in any refference of Ravana Rajputs. The refference in Ravana Rajputs were Colonial Era but during that time there were many people like Thakur Hari Singh and Dalpat Singh (soldier) of this community who played main role in Rajasthan History. Please add notable people list in Ravana Rajputs which was removed by User:Fancy vibēs. Thank you❤🙏🙏🙏
