Prod tags[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you put prod tags on some of your user pages. Prod tags are only for articles. If you want one of your user pages deleted, you should use the speedy deletion tag U1 (see WP:Speedy#U1). Calathan (talk) 14:24, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Hi Panel Guy. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you, mattbr 19:37, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BBC programmes external link targets[edit]

Re. this. Why are you considering the Episode 1 page to be more appropriate as the EL target, rather than this, which appears to be the 'home' page for the entry. As with the above commenter, it would help if you used edit summaries. MickMacNee (talk) 17:06, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Examining the first link you provided I notice I changed Episode 1 ({{BBC programme|b00t3d45}}) to the home page ({{BBC programme|b00t3z58}}), so I actually improved the link. I will in future fill in the edit summary to avoid confusion and I apologise for not doing that first time round. --Panel Guy (talk) 17:49, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Bizarre. I think what happened is I noticed one was wrong and changed the EL link in the recent expansion, but the one that was wrong turns out to have been the infobox link. Although I thought I had double checked that diff before coming here. My mistake. MickMacNee (talk) 18:12, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

8 out of 10 cats question[edit]

Hi. I had a small observation, I wanted to call to your attention. It may be silly but I found this odd. I was checking out stuff about 8 out of 10 Cats and saw on Radiotimes that after the BB special that there would be 5 episodes, yet I checked on the SROAudience website (http://www.sroaudiences.com/that after tonight's BB taping that there would be 6 tapings (2 tapings each on 3 different days) I found that pretty odd. I know that there are certain shows that tape extra shows to televise in two parts like Family Fortunes, but I wonder why there is an extra taping. 8 out of 10 Cats does not have Christmas specials. 65.92.24.168 (talk) 17:45, 8 September 2010 (UTC) samusek2[reply]

8 out of 10 Cats do have some specials such as the Moive special (08x04) and the Sport special (09x03) which can be recorded after a different taping. --Panel Guy (talk) 19:18, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Panel Guy,

I have just noticed on The official website that this friday's episode is being billed as Episode 4 even if Radiotimes says that it is 1/5 and t hey have gotten rid of the listing on the "List page" that someone wrote for Episode 3. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/8-out-of-10-cats/episode-guide/series-10/episode-4 CWMXII has reverted the edits saying that Radiotimes is right and says that it is patently impossible. Yet the show's official website says that Friday's ep is Episode 4. I would say that the official website trumps what a television listing site says by Wikipedia's standards. Can you help settle an argument before it develops into a much bigger argument. I would appreciate your input on how we shold handle this confusion. 65.94.244.245 (talk) 05:24, 15 September 2010 (UTC)samusek2[reply]

Redirects[edit]

Please do not make nonsense redirects everywhere like you did on nl-wiki and es-wiki. This is no longer a joke and can be seen as cross wiki vandalism. Two admins (a colleague and I) removed all on nl-wiki, please ensure the ones on es-wiki are deleted yourself or else we will inform a steward. MoiraMoira (talk) 20:36, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

London Wikimedia Fundraiser[edit]

Good evening! This is a friendly message from Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, inviting you to the London Wikimedia Fundraising party on 19th December 2010, in approximately one week. This party is being held at an artistic London venue with room for approximately 300 people, and is being funded by Ed Saperia, a non-Wikipedian who has a reputation for holding exclusive events all over London. This year, he wants to help Wikipedia, and is subsidising a charity event for us. We're keen to get as many Wikimedians coming as possible, and we already have approximately 200 guests, including members of the press, and some mystery guests! More details can be found at http://ten.wikipedia.org/wiki/London - expect an Eigenharp, a mulled wine hot tub, a free hog roast, a haybale amphitheatre and more. If you're interested in coming - and we'd love to have you - please go to the ten.wikipedia page and follow the link to the Facebook event. Signing up on Facebook will add you to the party guestlist. Entry fee is a heavily subsidised £5 and entry is restricted to over 18s. It promises to be a 10th birthday party to remember! If you have any questions, please email me at chasemewiki at gmail.com.

Hope we'll see you there, (and apologies for the talk page spam) - Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 23:38, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
