Speedy deletion[edit]

I noticed that you tagged the page Image:Always Believe.jpg for speedy deletion with the reason "it seems to be copyright violation". However, "it seems to be copyright violation" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use WP:PUI if you still want the page to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 11:10, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Latvian Cup[edit]

Do you know maybe anything about this year's edition of Latvian Cup? Last year it was held in the first half of the year and now there are no information about it at all, and it is already May. Thanks a lot, bye! SonjiCeli (talk) 12:47, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There was a format change. It will be held this autumn with final part in next spring and winner will play in Eurocups next summer. But there is no more information about it in Latvian media or LFF website. --Papuass (talk) 07:51, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks a lot. Also, is that change for this season only or the same fall/spring format will be used in the future? I'm asking this because of Template:2008–09 in European Football (UEFA), Template:2009–10 in European Football (UEFA) and so on that need to be changed. SonjiCeli (talk) 12:33, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You can not be sure about anyting :) It seems that they want to use that in future, too, but no references for that. --Papuass (talk) 15:13, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So here it is: first 2 rounds will be played this autumn with 2nd and 3rd level team playing. Next spring Virslīga teams will join them in 1/8-finals. [1]. --Papuass (talk) 15:19, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tiebreakers in Latvia[edit]

Sorry to bother you again, but I just wanted to ask you one question about the tiebreakers in Virsliga when teams have the same amount of points. So, here's what I saw on official page:

1. labāks rādītājs savstarpējās spēlēs (punkti, vārtu starpība)
2. vairāk uzvaru visās spēlēs
3. labāka iegūto un zaudēto vārtu starpība visās spēlēs
4. lielāks vārtu guvums visās spēlēs
5. labāka iegūto un zaudēto vārtu attiecība visās spēlēs

As I could understand from Google translator, this is what it means:

1. head-to-head results among the teams in question (points, goal difference)
2. number of overall victories
3. better overall goal difference
4. more goals scored
5. ???

Please correct me if I'm wrong and could you tell me what does the fifth one mean so I could apply them. Thnks, bye! SonjiCeli (talk) 17:25, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1-4 is correct. 5 means better overall goal ratio. I find it strange, as it does not make sense, but I also found it in official document here [2]. --Papuass (talk) 19:54, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it's something like "matches played", because it's not the same if you divide the same goal difference and same goals scored numbers by two different numbers that represent played matches. However, it does not make sense because eventually they will all have the same number of played matches. Therefore, I'll probably not include it.
Anyway, thanks for help. Bye! SonjiCeli (talk) 20:43, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article Feedback Tool update[edit]

Hey Papuass. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:48, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Andžs Flaksis has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Wgolf (talk) 18:33, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Contributions-search[edit]

Hello Papuass, I have a question re your contributions-search tool. Could you send me an email? --SonicY (talk) 23:47, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can you be more specific? Send me an email through Wikipedia. --Papuass (talk) 07:51, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There's no "Email this user" function in your Tools sidebar. Basically, I'm looking for a tool similar to edit summary search but different in that I don't want to look through one user's history but I want to find all users who use a distinctive phrase in their edit summaries. Do you know of a tool like that and how does the contributions-search tool work? When I click on contributions-summary all I get is the message "it works". --SonicY (talk) 21:06, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Sonicyouth86: Unfortunately my tool is not in working state and I do not plant to work on it in near future, I might have to remove it from toolserver. --Papuass (talk) 08:15, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Search[edit]

Hello,

It was suggested that I contact you.

Would it be possible to make a tool to search all edit summaries? I want to search for examples of IAR being applied correctly. There's this, but it's limited to just one user at a time.

Thanks,
