Pac-10 football, etc[edit]

Pasadena91,
Hello. Thank you for your recent efforts to create all of those Pac-10 football standings templates. I want to point out a few things to you about them and related topics.

  • I tagged the discussion pages for those templates with: {{WikiProject College football}}. It would be very helpful if you could do the same for any new college football templates, categories, or articles that you create. That will get those articles properly listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject College football and help other editors integrate those new articles into related topics that they may be working on.
  • On those standings templates, you're going to want to put <noinclude> and </noinclude> tags around the categories. That way, when these template gets transcended onto other articles, e.g. season and team pages for a particular season, those other pages won't improperly carry those categories from the standings template.

Naming for team season articles in the pre-nickname era[edit]

Pasadena91, I just opened up an item at the WikiProject College football talk page regarding naming for team season articles in the pre-nickname era. I think you may be interested as it impacts the Washington Huskies. See: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College football#Naming for team season articles in the pre-nickname era. Thanks. En dashes[edit]

Pasadena91, thanks for your continuing efforts to build out the Washington Huskies football season pages. One little item: you are using en dashes correctly in the article names and to punctuate the scores in the schedule table, but the records in the NCAATeamFootballSeason infobox need them as well. You have been using hyphens there instead. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Dashes for more. Thanks. Jweiss11 (talk) 19:37, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Will globally sweep at some point. Just such a circular process to get all of the 19xx P10 Standings built, then the 1936+ AP Poll pages, etc. Thanks for the help and guidance. Pasadena91 (talk) 17:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
