UAB Blazers football seasons

Good work! I gave the article a quick copyedit, but if there's any changes you disagree with, feel free to change them back. I've only got two suggestions: First, that you remove the two rankings columns—because UAB has never been ranked, they're kind of redundant. Second, I'd suggest citing the seasons just once, up at the column header. The only reason I didn't do that with Virginia Tech Hokies football seasons was because there were different sources for each year. Since you've got the same source for all of them, it simplifies things to have just one cite at the top. Milwaukee Airport Rail Station

Hi! The article looks pretty much up to GA standards. I have only a few comments:

• You forgot to mention that it is located in the US.
• The specific location (off this and this street etc) is fine for the body, but a little overkill for the lead. Consider instead to add for instance ridership, length from Milwaukee/Chicago and number of daily services to the lead. The lead is about the right length, and often for this kind of service one cannot get the body longer.
• I have lately started to write the route/service/facility sections before the history sections, because I feel it gives the more important information first. This is of course a matter of subjectivity, but I used to write history first out of habit. When I started to think more about the matter, I decided that perhaps it was more natural to present the status quo first, and then the details of how it got to become. But this is up to the author, and no-one should retaliate against this at GA (though they might perhaps at FA).
• Take a look at the diff from my copyedit. There area few hyphens and other things that I fixed up (nothing much, perhaps you just missed them, but this would be commented on at an FA review for sure). One thing in particular is that 'utilize' should only be used when referring to efficiency; otherwise it is generally better to use 'use'. Utilize has unfortunately become a buzz words.
• Some information that could be added (in this length an article, add all information in the infobox and lead to the article):
  • Travel time each of the central stations
  • Travel time on the shuttle
  • 'QuikTrak' ticket vending machine, restrooms, vending machines written into the prose
• Ridership figures should be converted to references
• Why does the title say 'Rail Station' and the text 'Railroad Station'?

If you fix this up, it should pass GA, although there may be the odd thing I have overlooked that another reviewer might find. Nice work so far, hope to see it at GAN soon :) Arsenikk ^(talk) 17:35, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

I have seen a lot of nice work by you around lately (both the two stations, the two lists at FL and the Roanoke Regional Airport). With only minor details being corrected when getting your articles through GA, I would encourage you (if you want) to do some GA reviewing (please excuse me if you have done some, I just havn't noticed then). I find that constructive criticism and improving other people's article helps me become a better article writer. Don't worry too much to begin with if you are uncertain about things, just ask at the talk page (or my user talk if you want) if you are uncertain. List of DART Light Rail stations

Hi. Congratulations on getting the DART stations list to FL status; I just promoted it, but the bot ran a few hours ago so you may have to wait until the weekend for the talk page to be updated and the star to be added. However, I think that name should not be "List of DART Light Rail Stations" but "List of Dallas Area Rapid Transit light rail stations". The rule of thumb is that if an abbreviation is spelled out in the main article's title, it should be spelled out in other articles' titles. Also, I don't think the phrase "light rail" should be capitalized; on a quick Google search I found that "light rail" was either in sentence case or the word "light" was simply omitted. Anyway, barring these naming issues, which I hope can be resolved soon, the list looked good to go, so I promoted it now (a bit late) rather than wait until the weekend and let the FLC languish for no reason. Seward's Success, Alaska

It doesn't get said often enough around here, so I thought I'd just drop by and tell you great job on this. Honestly when I first saw it I thought it might be a hoax, it just sounds kinda crazy, especially the aerial tramway over Knik Arm, which is well known for nasty winds. After reading it and checking out the sources, I couldn't believe I'd never heard of this before. I can only imagine how weird it would be if they had done it, like Whittier times ten, only not in an old creepy built by the army... Anyway, thanks, for me this was one of those moments where you remember why you started spending time with Wikipedia in the first place, to find out about things you never knew existed, and to learn something new. Template:List of college football program head coaches key

Patriarca12, I was checking out your work on List of Auburn Tigers head football coaches. User:Paulmcdonald set up Template:List of college football program head coaches key a few months ago to standardize the keys for the coach lists. It hasn't been transcluded onto any of the featured Big 12 or SEC lists, just some lower division ones that Paul did. I like the enhancements you've made to the key for the Auburn list and integrated those into this template, generalizing your note about postseason play since 1902/1916. I also reduced the font size a little bit and put the table into production on List of Michigan Wolverines head football coaches. This template would work for the Auburn list, except we'd lose the note about SEC division history. Perhaps, we could move that to the DCs header in the table? I think we might also want to drop the little s's from "DCs" "CCs" "NCs". We don't have the W/L/T fields pluralized. I'd like to get this template deployed on all the college football head coach lists out there. Thoughts? Jweiss11 (talk) 06:09, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

That looks great! I am currently working on getting the AU list to FL and will see if the template is good to go for that review. If it is, it definitely should be transcluded to all coaches' lists. Alignment for head football coach lists

I made a little tweak to List of Auburn Tigers head football coaches to make the table code much more efficient. Thanks for putting together Template:Mercer Bears football coach navbox. What was your source for the coaching history? I'm thinking H. R. Shencker might be the same person as H. R. Schenker. Also C. Got your message back about this on my talk page. Your research seems sound to me. Ultimately, the articles linking from this template should be sourced as appropriate. The template itself wouldn't need citation. In the meantime, I think it's worth having templates like these on 90% reliable info because they serve as a great foundation for article development and help to stem off content forks. James E Foy Trophy

Patriarca, while we're whacking CFB rivalry-related articles at AfD, could you find it in your heart to sacrifice the stand-alone James Foy Trophy article, and merge its relevant content into the Iron Bowl article? As best I can tell, the Foy Trophy may technically satisfy the requirements for Wikipedia notability, but it has no truly meaningful significance to the Alabama-Auburn rivalry. Looks like a likely candidate to be pared by half and merged into the parent Iron Bowl article. BTW, we've already voluntarily thrown the two Florida Gators trophy articles (former "Okefenokee Oar" and "War Canoe Trophy") onto the bonfire and merged their contents into the parent rivalry articles. You are correct in its borderline notability for WP, and personally I do not have a problem with merging it into the Iron Bowl article. No person I know has ever boasted about winning the "James E Foy Trophy" just about winning the "Iron Bowl" in my experience as a loyal fan of the Tide. The trophy presentation at the basketball game the following spring is really the only time the trophy gets widespread attention in the state. Maybe bring it up with some of the other crap that is borderline at best in the power conferences such as Kentucky–Mississippi State football rivalry and Boston College–Virginia Tech rivalry. Just because teams play each other every year does not make them a rival. On a related subject, I do plan on attacking the Iron Bowl article in the not too distant future as it does need ALOT of work in terms of expansion and citations. Navbox collapsed state code

Patriarca, please carefully consider not removing the collapsed state code from any navbox you are reformatting. The rule of thumb that I usually follow is that any navbox that has more than 4 or 5 lines of text should be set to a collapsed state (and not "autocollapse"). Large open navboxes at the bottom of the page can be obnoxious and distracting to the reader, and overwhelming to the otherwise carefully planned layout of some of our better articles. Wanted to let you know because you're a good "defender of correct football season information" editor, and WillAndersULM just created 2013 Grambling State Tigers football team.   • I feel you, it's something that irks me too. New editor Joe Blow wants to create some random football or basketball season article but all they bother to do is copy/paste the previous season's article. There is only one true way to prevent this, which is for every college football and basketball program to have every single season article created by WP:CFB and CB:CBBALL editors. That's too massive of a project to undertake, unfortunately, so here we are constantly patch-working crappy articles back together. Jrcla2 (talk) 14:25, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
