Little context in WAQX-FM[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on WAQX-FM, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because WAQX-FM is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting WAQX-FM, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of Carlos Eduardo (fighter)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Carlos Eduardo (fighter), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Notability. No significant coverage of the subject.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --aktsu (t / c) 08:46, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

August 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Animal (Kesha album), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 20:07, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WWE PPVs[edit]

Hi, could you please propose the idea of an omnibus replacing individual articles at the professional wrestling wiki project instead of just changing links to the page you created? As far as I know no such practice is in place. Thanks BulbaThor (talk) 15:40, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The best place to raise it is at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Professional_wrestling. I know it's been discussed a bit there, but no consensus has been reached, and I'm not sure how closely the policies of the UFC and WWE projects match. BulbaThor (talk) 15:48, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of 2012 in WWE events for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article 2012 in WWE events is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2012 in WWE events until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. – Richard BB 21:40, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:18, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

afd[edit]

Please don't add incorrect Afd templates to articles. The one you added linked to the old closed Afd, which is clearly confusing for editors. In addition, the article has recently been through the Afd process and should therefore not be nominated again unless there has been a major change in its status. Thank you, Black Kite (talk) 15:33, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is MMA AfD's. I'm placing this notice as a courtesy because I mentioned your creation of 2012 in WWE events in relation to the ongoing deletion of MMA-related articles. You're not required to comment in the discussion and your editing is not the subject of examination there, so it's nothing to worry about. ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹Speak 10:46, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 19[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited UFC 27: Ultimate Bad Boyz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SEG (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:20, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on UFC 27: Ultimate Bad Boyz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Courcelles 02:10, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your UFC 151 edit summary[edit]

Yes, I do pay attention to MMA. I've noticed Lyoto Machida and Dan Henderson are different people. Adding that Jones vs Henderson has been moved to an event called "Jones vs Machida II" is ridiculous. Re-adding it with an attitude and a source that confirms Jones vs Machida is, in fact, the main event is beyond ridiculous. I hope you understand. (win what?) → {{Clarify}}[edit]

Hello: I noticed this edit to Christoph Waltz where you added the text "(win what?)" to the article. It was good to point that out, and I have since fixed it, yet for the future you should consider using the {{Clarify}} template after the sentence to accomplish the same thing. This is standard template used in articles for this purpose and it allows other editors to easily find problem sentences like that. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Linda McMahon[edit]

Please read WP:SURNAME and stop adding McMahon's given name in the body of the article. General Ization Talk 14:31, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The section is talking about Vince's work as well it doesn't read well when both have the surname of McMahon. --Paul "The Wall" (talk) 14:35, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The paragraph mentions "the McMahons", but the only references to a singular McMahon in that paragraph refer to the subject of the article, so the given name is unnecessary. [I see now that is post your most recent edit - Thanks.] General Ization Talk 14:37, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

American Politics alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. Galobtter (pingó mió) 13:57, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Stacker 2 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability - only source is company website

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
