Hi! I moved your article to Stephanie Peay less the quotation marks. Thanks for the contribution.  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:44, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stephanie Peay[edit]

I've made several corrections to the Stephanie Peay article that you created. I see that you're a relatively new editor, so I thought I'd just point out what I'd done and why. You can see my edit here. Basically, what I did was this:

  1. Per MOS:DATE, dates shouldn't have "st", "nd", etc on them. So today would be either 1 May 2010 or, in America, May 1, 2010. Not May 1st or 1st May.
  2. People should be referred to by their last names per WP:SURNAME. So if I were talking about you, I'd say something like: "Bryden then went to England..." If you're referring to two people of the same family with the same last name, then you would use their first names to avoid confusion, such as: "Paul and his brother Joe then saved the world..."
  3. You don't need to link the same term over and over again per WP:OVERLINK.
  4. Avoid using <br /> and other HTML unless absolutely necessary.
  5. And finally, punctuation should go before the ref tags. So, a sentence would look like 'Bryden then became king of the universe."ref"', not '...universe"ref".'

Thanks for your help Duncan and your useful additions to the 'Stephanie Peay' entry. I suspect, like the other commentator, that the citation deletion was probably in response to their previous contribution being rejected. If the 'spoiling' continues are there any guidelines on how to respond? Paulbryden (talk) 16:12, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If it continues, probably the best thing is to ask the editor on their talk page to discuss it. If that doesn't help, then you can ask at WP:AN or WP:ANI for admin assistance. There's a link in the box about resolving disputes, and that explains more about what can be done. DuncanHill (talk) 16:15, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
