Hello Paulh22 and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy the encyclopedia and want to stay. As a first step, you may wish to read the Introduction.

If you have not already created a account here, note that you do not have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me at my talk page — I'm happy to help. Or, you can ask your question at the New contributors' help page.

Here are some more resources to help you as you explore and contribute to the world's largest encyclopedia...

Just about to set up a new page for GiGA Camp The largest scout and guide activity weekend

Thanks for making these contributions, but I'm afraid they are not appropriate on wikipedia as stand alone articles. Neither of them are sufficiently notable in themselves, but they are of sufficient interest to be mentioned in Scouting in East of England. I have expanded the mention you added there to include what is appropriate from the two articles you wrote. I did not include everything as some things were not encyclopedic. For example, we do speculate on the numbers at a camp in 2009. It is very possible that the articles will be speedy deleted or proposed for deletion, so I acted quickly to transfer the material to the region article.

Take a look at the Scouting Project subpages to see what we have concluded over the years about what is appropriate to include in wikipedia. I hope you will continue to contribute to Scouting articles. We particularly need editors to work on UK Scouting articles.

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Sports intelligence, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
