Hey Philip, I figured I'd drop by and give a human welcome to you rather than these templated and automated messages you have received. I declined the speedy deletion request of your article and nominated it for "articles for deletion". That may seem odd, but there are more than a few deletion processes at wikipedia. You are invited to comment on that AfD but I should let you know that the simplest way to convince people to keep the article is to show that you have been covered in reliable, independent sources in some detail. This means that a newspaper, magazine or television (or radio, etc.) item must have covered you in some fashion. All you need to do is point us to that coverage and the article will probably be kept. The deletion discussion regarding your article will run 5 days, so there is not a lot of rush.

Apart from that, please remember that nominating your articles for deletion doesn't mean that you or your contributions are not valued. Wikipedia is host to many different people seeking to create articles about themselves and in 99% of the cases, those articles are not what gets included in the encyclopedia. I would suggest that you take a look at Wikipedia:Your first article to get a sense of what you should think about when creating a new article. Otherwise, there are plenty of existing articles for you to cut your teeth on. I hope that your experience with wikipedia hasn't been soured by this. Thanks for uploading File:Philip Clemo pic.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
