Invitation for student editors to enter ISCB Student Wikipedia Competition[edit]

Hello, I noticed that your students are editing pages relating to bioinformatics and computational biology as part of Wikipedia:Wiki Ed/Reed College/Bioinformatics (Fall 2022).

I'm one of the organisers of the ISCB Student Wikipedia Competition, which is run in conjunction with the International Society for Computational Biology. The competition aims to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics relating to the ISCB's Bioinformatics Core Competencies, and we're particularly keen for entries guided by classroom activities, eg [1]. The articles assigned to your student editors would fall within the scope of the competition, and so I'd like to invite your student editors to enter: it's open to students and postdocs, either as individuals or as groups, with prizes awarded at the Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology conference for the most improved articles. There are more details on the competition page, and I'd be happy to answer any questions. Thanks and all the best with the Fall semester! Amkilpatrick (talk) 07:56, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
