A tag has been placed on Peaxman/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Terry Waya moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Terry Waya. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Reading Beans (talk) 02:22, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I will work on the observations you raised and also tag other editors to contribute. Thank you Peaxman (talk) 13:57, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I will work on the observations you raised and also tag other editors to contribute. Thank you.

Draft space is not for you to move things into and out of ad lib[edit]

Moving a draft to an article, then not liking something and moving it back to Draft is disruptive, and needs to stop. Either Waya is an article or it is not. What you created, however was biased in favour of Waya, a convicted criminal. This was absent from your article. This leads me to believe that you have an association with Waya. I am about to ask you a formal question, one that requires an answer. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 21:37, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Timtrent, I hope this message finds you well. There is nothing that I didn't like. I only discovered that the media will be deleted and I have been investigating why. On the subject of the article, I intend to put a notice inviting more contributions from volunteers for a more balanced representation which you have done. Peaxman (talk) 06:42, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikimedia Commons is a separate entity from Wikipedia, albeit linked at WMF. Commons has strict licence requirements, as stringently enforced there as possible. The discussions there are usually very brief and technical, because there is little room for doubt, if any room at all.
I think you will understand the need for balance. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 20:48, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This helps. Thank you Peaxman (talk) 22:09, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

September 2023[edit]

Information icon

Hello Peaxman. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Peaxman. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Peaxman|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 21:38, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Timtrent, thank you for your contribution and concerns. I am not directly or indirectly compensated for my edits. I am like most people here, a volunteer. I have no idea people are paid to make edits on Wikipedia. I have always believe it is an open source volunteer program. I only moved the article to draft space to address the deletion tag on the image. I am still going through the help page on that which after I am done, I intend to update the image license and send it back to mainspace. I saw your contributions to the article and in no way do I intend to change that. So I think you are mistaken about my role. Thank you. Peaxman (talk) 06:39, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think generally, I wouldn't edit further until I go through Wiki's policies and study them thoroughly for a second time so as to be able to make uncontroversial contributions in future. Maybe this will help. Thanks Peaxman (talk) 07:04, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Your simple answer is all that is needed. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 20:46, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Learning Never Ends[edit]

I am interested in joining any ongoing learning projects on Wikipedia. It could be a joint creation or edit. I would also love to work with @ Joyous. Looking forward to your reply and suggestions 🥰 Peaxman (talk) 09:05, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Peaxman! I'm so sorry that I didn't respond to you earlier. It completely slipped my mind. It looks like your questions about your article have been answered above.
I do very little article creation these days. Copy-editing existing articles is something I enjoy. Have you looked over some of the editing opportunities at the Task Center? The best way to get how Wikipedia "works" is to do some of the smaller jobs that are like maintenance to the articles. Joyous! Noise! 21:55, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank You. Best regards Peaxman (talk) 01:48, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The African Times USA moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to The African Times USA. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because This lacks sourcing with significant coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject. Please research sources diligently and write what they say in your own words. Do not embellish anything. No reference, no fact.. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 06:59, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Do not be disturbed by this. It was either return to Draft or offer for deletion. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 07:01, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:UniBrill per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/UniBrill. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Spicy (talk) 20:42, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Block Review[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hello, I am completely shocked with what is going here. I think there is a mistake somewhere as I don't have any affiliation or connection with the User/Brill who I am alleged to be a sock puppet of. I am seeing that account for the first time and the account has been here two years ago. I joined Wikipedia August 2023. Two years ago, I didn't know anyone can be an editor in Wikipedia. I only read articles here during research. Kindly do a review to confirm. To be clear, I am not a sock puppet of User/Brill and I don't have multiple accounts. I only have this account with which I access Wikipedia and Wiki commons. Please check. Thank You. Peaxman (talk) 20:55, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

We don't do checkuser investigations at the request of blocked sockpuppetry suspects since there's really no way to prove innocence through them. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:49, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Block Review[edit]

@Spicy

Hi, kindly do an investigation and confirm. I want to state clearly that I am a sock puppet of UniBrill. I don't have any other account aside this which I learnt can be used at Wiki commons too. Just here on Wikipedia and then Wiki commons. I am barely two months here. With no idea of what I am being accused of. I am enjoying my sojourn here until this notification. Please kindly review. Thank you Peaxman (talk) 21:03, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

End of the road ?[edit]

Hi @Joyous!

I kindly need your guide as always. I logged to my account and found out that I had been blocked by @Spicy for being a sock puppet to a certain User/Brill. I checked out the meaning of sock puppetry and I am sure I didn't do that and neither do I have any connection with the User/Brill. I have only searched for articles to improve as you advised and worked on them even though I know I am still learning and have a long way to go. I don't have any multiple accounts as alleged. I only have this for Wikipedia and Wiki commons. Does this mean that my journey on this platform has ended ? Thanks and best regards. Peaxman (talk) 21:33, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Proof of Innocence[edit]

@Daniel Case How then can I prove my innocence in the case of allegations of being a socket puppet of a user I know nothing about. Are there any ways I can submit a photo ID or any account verification system on Wikipedia? Thanks Peaxman (talk) 07:02, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't work either since, well, anyone can submit anything online.
The best I can recommend is that you ask that another checkuser take a look at the evidence. Daniel Case (talk) 04:59, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
