Family Guy copyedit

When I went to the page, there was already a notice that it had been copyedited, so I didn't do anything. Does it need to be done again? MSJapan (talk) 18:10, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Re:FLC

I'll get to it in a bit. The Flash {talk} 21:01, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

I wouldn't call myself a brilliant reviewer, but I am familiar with the standards of FLs, so I can help provide guidance. What do you want me to look at?

I've left some comments. The Flash {talk} 23:04, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Depends - what do you mean? The Flash {talk} 00:35, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I see! Yeah, I generally find sources via Google searches, which are MASSIVELY helpful, and other times simply by accident. A simply Google search can give you more sources then normally thought of. The Flash {talk} 00:41, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
No prob. And thanks, I'm planning on doing that soon. The Flash {talk} 00:44, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
lol, Thanks ;) The Flash {talk} 00:48, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
That'll have to wait until later, I'm currently preoccupied. The Flash {talk} 21:21, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Getting to the FAC now. Thanks for the review, just finished taking care of it, but what article are you referring to by "production"? The Flash {talk} 00:28, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Oh, okay. Yeah, well, it's the same process — Google the show or episode and start searching for info. DVD extras are also a huge help, and so are books if there are any that cover it. Oh, and thanks for the GA review! :) The Flash {talk} 00:37, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
YouTube sometimes has them. The Flash {talk} 00:41, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Sure, I'll get to it in just a bit. The Flash {talk} 18:53, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
Finished the review. The Flash {talk} 20:02, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
Well, I'm working on "The Fast and the Phineas" next, but I'll probably get to "S'winter" within the month. The Flash {talk} 23:30, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I won't be able to help much. I'm starting a 2nd job, so 2 of them will keep me busy. I'm just gonna be doing minor editors, and finish up my FAC, no more no GAs for right now. CTJF83 chat 06:20, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Quick

Hey Pedro, hope you're doing well. I just took a quick look at the FLC you're working on, and thought I'd drop a couple notes:

  1. I think it's very well done, clear, concise, and pretty good lay-out.
  2. You may run into an issue with overlinks during the review. Some of the actors are linked 3 and 4 times, and that's usually not done to that extent.
  3. You have a lot of information in prose style in the "Current cast" section that may be redundant to other articles we have. This particular item is one I want to follow, simply because I've seen the concern raised about the very same thing on a list I have worked on.
  4. You've got the alt-tags in the pictures - good job, many folks miss that little detail.
  5. Your first table isn't "sortable", but the rest of your tables are. It looks like it might be a chore to make it sortable the way it's laid out right now - I don't know if anything can be done to resolve that or not. I'll take a look later on. (although I do have an idea)

All in all I think it looks pretty good - keep me posted and I'll follow along on it all. I'm not a regular reviewer on featured content or anything, so I'm very flattered that you'd ask my opinion on this. Something I can learn here, so I enjoy looking things over and seeing how they progress. Cheers. — Ched :  ?  19:31, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Quick help

Hey, could you address User:Ophois's recent request to expand the reception section of the Family Guy (season 5) article? You seem to be good at finding reviews and reception pieces to add to the article. Gage (talk) 20:53, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Family Guy FLC

I would, but I'm not really familiar with that sort of list. I commented on the other one because I'm a fan of Family Guy and noticed it had some issues that needed resolving. Ωphois 23:27, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

I've been editing for years. So I'd like to think that I've come to learn a lot about editing. Ωphois 23:32, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, but I'm really busy trying to get Supernatural articles up to FA. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have, but I don't really have time to be researching/editing FG, too. Ωphois 23:41, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Re: Family Guy

Sorry, but between my current WikiProjects and real-life stuff, I don't think I have the time to help out with a Family Guy FA. I don't really know much about the show anyway. Best of luck though! — Hunter Kahn (c) 00:46, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, since it's already had recent three reviews, I don't think it would be right for me to review it while we have more than 10 articles in the PR backlog that have had no reviews. Finetooth (talk) 02:04, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

FIFA Wikiproject

Hi there. the Wikiproject for FIFA hs been approved. Feel free to sign up and/or help me fix the Wikiproject page. Secret Saturdays (talk) 23:11, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

It's not uncommon for it to happen. If the director/delegate feels that there is no way the article can pass within 10 days they will close it. I'm assuming my statement had something to do with it as well. -- Scorpion0422 00:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Well, I think it was more because I was the leading contributor and I felt it wasn't quite ready. A couple quick comments, I think the "Character" section could use some expanding, same with the "reception" section. It would also be nice to see a "cultural influence" similar to the one in Bart and Homer's pages. -- Scorpion0422 00:44, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

It's a start, but I'd like to see more added. I noticed a number of spelling errors in there as well. -- Scorpion0422 01:47, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

I don't really have a lot of time at the moment. Could I take a look at it on the weekend? In the meantime, try asking Theleftorium or Gran2 for help. Also, might I suggest that you start spell checking your edits, as I've noticed that you do tend to make a number of spelling errors. For example, the "cultural influences" section in your sandbox contains a number of spelling and grammatical errors (ie. "reconiced", "enviornmentaly", "wher") -- Scorpion0422 02:00, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

She has appeared in a few specials, I believe she was in the American Idol special with the rest of the family a while back. -- Scorpion0422 01:10, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Like I said, I don't have a lot of time to look up stuff for you right now. Just do google searches and such. Try looking up Yeardley Smith's credits on IMDB, and it might give you some ideas for stuff that Lisa appeared in. Then, try to find a reliable reference for it. -- Scorpion0422 02:51, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

I don't know for the life of me how I was able to miss your request for so long. Sure, I'll take a look a the Family Guy article. Sorry again for the delayed response. Cheers! Scapler (talk) 18:49, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Sorry for the wait again; I have begun copyediting the Family Guy article. Just a note, YouTube cannot be used as a reliable reference in this instance, as the videos are copyright infringement per WP:YOUTUBE and illegal. Cheers! Scapler (talk) 00:47, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Message is to inform that I have begun, and I am continuing, uhh... now! Cheers! Scapler (talk) 00:49, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure it would be the best idea for me to copyedit it again, as it is normally hard for me to fix my own mistakes. It would probably be more advantageous to solicit another editor to copyedit the article this time around. Cheers! Scapler (talk) 18:26, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Pedro; can you please check out the FAC on the article and weigh in on the ongoing comments on sourcing? SandyGeorgia has requested the supported reviewers comment on the discussion. Thanks, The Flash {talk} 21:58, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Can you review it again? The entire FAC was restarted in order to clear some space at the FAC hub, which means any and all comments beforehand don't count. Thanks, The Flash {talk} 22:41, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

family guy list

It makes more sense to have the episode list connected to the season pages. That way all the info remains the same. More and more tv shows are getting season pages and linking the pages is an expanding practice. There is nothing that says a featured list can't be in this format, and it would make more sense for a feature list to have that format as it will keep all the information the same and easily fixable in one place as opposed to having to fix one thing multiple times because the same info appears on multiple pages. Anyways when i have some time i'll change it back or you can do it yourself...It also elps reduce vandalism as less pages would have to be watched since there is only one central location to change all the info. Grande13 (talk) 20:10, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

if it looked different i could possibly understand but it looks the exact same so might as well not have multiple versions of the same info on different pages. Grande13 (talk) 20:11, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
I dont even see what the question is? this format is superior as it reduced the places for vandalism, and it will keep all the info the same on the episode list and season pages. Before they were combined there were many issues of information being different on the season pages from the main episode list. This keeps all the information in uniform on all the pages...It doesnt need to be discussed any further really? What is the reasoning for changing it back? Grande13 (talk) 20:15, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
its two extra columns for writer and director thats it? that really doesnt disturb the flow at all and allows for someone to easily check for certain writers/directors without having to navigate all the season pages. not everything has to match up exactly with the simpsons page....Grande13 (talk) 20:18, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
again whats the benefit of having it the way it is now? By the way its also missing a column for that seasons episode number....anyways the other one has all the advantages and it insures that ALL that info on the season pages regarding the episodes is the same as on the main episode list. Even putting in vandalism guards will not completely prevent the pages from having the same info. The other method guarantees the info will be the sameGrande13 (talk) 20:21, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
there is no reason the writer cant be on the main page? its not a lot of space at all and there is much more info on the individual seasons pages as well that already differentiates it from the main episode list Grande13 (talk) 20:22, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
changing it will just make things sloppier as season pages will have the capabiltiy of having different info than the main list. It just makes more sense to have one master list that if changed in one location changes all other locations to keep things the same and accurate which is what we wantGrande13 (talk) 20:23, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Bottom line: if you want to make the family guy pages the most accurate and functional pages possible this is the option. no reason to use inferior method which causes double work of entering the same info twice. its as simple as thatGrande13 (talk) 20:26, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

it should only be switched back after being discussed if you really must promote having an inferior method, and after all the columns are correct, as its currently missing season ep#. Dont switch back though yetGrande13 (talk) 20:30, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

there isnt much different between this

Season Test: 1

# Total Title Directed by Written by Original airdate Prod. code
11"Road to Multiverse"UnknownUnknownSeptember 26, 20101ACX01
22"Road to Multiverse"UnknownUnknownSeptember 26, 20101ACX01

and this

Season Test: 2

# Total Title Original airdate Prod. code
11"Road to Multiverse"September 26, 20101ACX01
22"Road to Multiverse"September 26, 20101ACX01

and if we use the version with the directors in it then the pages can be connected and have the benefit of always being the same as each other which is what we want Grande13 (talk) 20:38, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Re:Lisa

I realise it's frustrating, but I only have a bit of time each night, and I use that time to check through my watch list and update articles. I wish I ahd more time as there are a bunch of projects I'd like to work on. I'll try to take a look through your sandbox in a bit. -- Scorpion0422 00:25, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

I took a quick look through, and you've added some good stuff. I noticed that the influence section tends to repeat a lot of stuff from other sections. I would like there to be such a section, but it should if there isn't enough content for it to work as a stand-alone section, then I don't know if there is a need for it. -- Scorpion0422 00:38, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

It's essential that you get a good copyeditor to look over the article. Cirt and Dabomb87 are both great reviewers. Scartol is an excellent copyeditor who has worked on Simpsons articles in the past for us, though he may not have time for it. -- Scorpion0422 00:42, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

In two weeks the semester will be over and I'll be on Christmas vacation. I don't know if you want to wait that long, but at that point I can help you a lot more than I can now. -- Scorpion0422 00:46, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm happy to do a copyedit on Lisa Simpson, since she's so important and awesome. However, I don't have time to offer more thorough reviews of content, which is what you seem to be requesting. (To be honest, the stuff in your sandbox looks at first glance to be just like what's on the main article.) Please let me know when you're out of the sandbox stage and closer to FAC. Peter Griffin

Hi again, I happen to watch the Peter Griffin article and noticed your edits, I'm sorry but they're not very good. You need to cite each sentence, use italics for tv shows, films and books and use quotation marks for song titles and episode titles. You expanded the reception section with things mostly from IGN, which only pass-on mention the character; my advice is to stick to direct criticisms or positive responses. Personality should be a seperate section. I have to go now, I'll finish this later. (I don't meen to be mean).--Music26/11 15:52, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Music, I don't think your revert is much better. First the infobox is more clogged up, I think we know Meg is a girls name and hence his daughter, and Chris and Stewie are his sons. Why would we list any of his countless cutaway jobs? He has 3 jobs that need to be mentioned, Toy inspector, fisherman, and brewery clerk. I'll agree not all the edits you reverted were made worse, a lot were made better. Also this edit summary is neither constructive, nor assuming good faith. CTJF83 chat 17:37, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
I agree with you, my apologies. I cut out most of the crappy stuff I was talking about above, but there were a few things that made the article better that got removed with my revert. The thing is, I think the article is not ready for GAn by a long shot mostly because there is a lot of referencing stuff that needs to be done. I won't remove it, but I think pedro should. I do agree that there are only three significant jobs by the way ;). Cheerio.--Music26/11 18:02, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Let me leave some comments, well music i now you are the main edoirt of the artical, but you must admit i did improve it, in the reception bcase look at thease examples Phineas Flynn, Ferb Fletcher The reception you got(no mean to offense) is very small plus it is reception, IGN is a good source and it is good info, i have been working on Lisa Simposn which has helped a lot compared to the other crappy characters i have done, lets do this(I propose) lets leave it like before but you can ictalize it at your wish and lets see what happens i mean admit it of all th FG charcaters he looks the best, do you agree (you two ctjf you commented now your part of it);)LuCk--Pedro J. the rookie 18:46, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Re:Check it

Well, it could definitely use a copyedit, first off. The reception section (which I believe is the most controversial one from the complaints) does stray from Peter himself, but for the most part it's fine. Might want to remove the stuff about awards the series got that have actually nothing to do with him. Also might be good to mention the (I think) three or so awards Seth has been nominated for for voicing Peter. You also need to italicize movies and books, and put quotes around episodes. That's all. Oh, and yes, I have access to one of the Phineas and Ferb DVDs, why? Cheers, The Flash {talk} 04:24, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Oh, well IDK about that. There's not much out there; the press release is all I got, I'm not even sure if there's any reviews out there (it wasn't on any DVD) Here's a review for the soundtrack, including the song featured in the episode. Sorry, though. The Flash {talk} 18:39, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, "S'Winter." I noticed your sandbox while checking to see if you responded to the above on this page. ;) The Flash {talk} 18:45, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
lol, Sorry for spoiling it. Good luck with the article :) The Flash {talk} 18:53, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
lol, Thanks. I'm not sure how I did it, really, I just had the info and knew what to do with it. Oh, and sorry about "S'Winter," like I said, when it's not on DVD, it's kind of hard to find info on it. The Flash {talk} 15:58, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Like I believe I mentioned a while back, I'm not familiar with PR and would not be sure how to handle it. I might be able to get to it, nonetheless. The Flash {talk} 21:09, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I do not believe it should be created yet. There's about no info at all, plus a lot of it is copied from "Flop Starz." Sorry, but I'm afraid this article is probably not to be. :( The Flash {talk} 05:20, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

You are the nominator of the above stated article, so I am informing you that there is currently a {{citation needed}} tag which needs to be addressed. Cleanup tags are not part of the good article criteria and can even warrant quick-fail on a good article review. I would hate to see a great amount of work gone waste, just because of one tag. As well, you should address the issue as soon as possible as the article is now on the Good Article Backlog and will be reviewed very shortly. warrior4321 06:07, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Talk archives

hey Pedro .. I am really sorry it took so long to get back to you on your question about archiving talk pages. It would take so long to explain it all .. so I just archived your talk and put a link at the top of the page. Basically, all you have to do is put a slash after your url when you're at your talk page, and call it "Archive 1" ... or 2 or 4 depending on where you are. I archived everything up until November for you .. but you can just revert if you want. you can read about how to do this at WP:ARCHIVE and it will explain it all. There is a way to set things up to do it automatically, but I don't do that myself. Personally I prefer to archive things manually - but if you want to set things up automatically - you can do that. One guy I know that's familiar with how to do that (and he's a really great guy) is User:Huntster. I hope I didn't make you mad by just archiving your talk page, and I will gladly put it all back if you want - but it was easier to just do it than to try to explain it all. Read up on the WP:ARCHIVE page, and if you have any questions, I'll try to help. Let me know what you want me to do here. All my best .. — Ched :  ?  05:18, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

2010 WikiCup Signups Reconfirmation!

To ensure that everyone who signed up is still committed to participating in the 2010 WikiCup, it is required that you remove your name from this list! By removing your name, you are not removing yourself from the WikiCup. This is simply a way for the judges to take note of who has not yet reconfirmed their participation. If you have not removed your name from that list by December 30th, 2009 (by 23:59 (UTC)) then your name will be removed from the WikiCup.

Hi. I've reviewed the article and left notes on the talk page. I've put the nomination on hold for seven days to allow the issues to be addressed. Feel free to contact me on my talk page, here, or on the article talk page with any concerns, and let me know one of those places when the issues have been addressed. I've taken care of most of the issues, Pedro. Feel free to look it over though. CTJF83 chat 19:48, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
I'm running short on time before work, if you could use Template:Cite episode to source the cultural references to the episode that aren't currently sourced. If you don't have time, I can get to it after work. CTJF83 chat 21:06, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Peter Shin.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Peter Shin.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 19:27, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Wal uigi.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Family Guy GANs

Hi Pedro. I don't mean to be rude, but you really need to work more on your articles before you nominate them for GA. Peter's Got Woods and Perfect Castaway, for example, are far away from GA quality. I suggest you read through the Good article criteria more closely. Family Guy

Two reviews is not "constantly"... anyways, I've taken an interest in the Family Guy nominations because lately you've been nominating the articles WAY too early. I would recommend peer review and/or copy-editing before nominating. Ωphois 01:26, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

For example, I see that "Road to the Multiverse" has been nominated. Sorry, but that article needs a lot of work. Besides prose issues, there is absolutely no production information in the article. Production details are key to episode articles. A lack of them shows that the episode has no notability. Ωphois 01:30, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
As I said before, you have been nominating the articles way too early. I came across "Death Has a Shadow" because of the FAC. Believe me, it's nothing personal. If I see that an article doesn't meet standards, then I will comment on it. Nice signature, by the way. Ωphois 22:51, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Sorry for not helping out more. I'm more a fan of Venture Bros. and Beavis and Butthead. Have you seen previews for that private detective cartoon with the voice from the soccer coach on that other cartoons the name of which I can't remember. Happy Holidays. The 2010 WikiCup begins tomorrow!

Welcome to the biggest WikiCup Wikipedia has yet seen! Round one will take place over two months, and finish on February 26. There is only one pool, and the top 64 will progress. The competition will be tough, as more than half of the current competitors will not make it to round 2. Details about scoring have been finalized and are explained at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring. Please make sure you're familiar with the scoring rules, because any submissions made that violate these rules will be removed. Like always, the judges can be reached through the WikiCup talk pages, on their talk page, or over IRC with any issues concerning anything tied to the Cup. We will keep in contact with you via weekly newsletters; if you do not want to receive them, please remove yourself from the list here. Conversely, if a non-WikiCup participant wishes to receive the newsletters, they may add themselves to that list. Well, enough talk- get writing! Your submission's page is located here. Details on how to submit your content is located here, so be sure to check that out! Once content has been recognized, it can be added to your submissions page, from which our bot will update the main score table. Remember that only articles worked on and nominated during the competition are eligible for points. Have fun, and good luck! Garden, iMatthew, J Milburn, and The ed17 19:22, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Twilight Princess

Sure. But contact Gary King as well, he edited that article as much as me. (and maybe TJ Spyke) igordebraga 21:15, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Check the previous FAC. Also, leave posts in the Talk pages of people who usually post in VG FACs and Peer Reviews to get some suggestions. And since you asked, no, I haven't played (though I've played 8 Zeldas, including the other one in the GameCube), because money doesn't grow on trees (you're Venezuelan, so I come from the neighbourhood where games are too damn expensive). igordebraga 00:53, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Yeah I can help out. The first thing that needs to be done is the references need to be checked to ensure that the article's content accurately reflects the information found in the references. Gary King (talk) 06:01, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

I have nominated List of non-English versions of Family Guy, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of non-English versions of Family Guy. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 16:43, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Ok, if you wanna work on reception and cultural references, and I'll get the production commentary info. Also, if you could do your replies to me on this page, that way the conversation is kept together in case we need to look the conversation over in the future :) CTJF83 chat 20:05, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

I've offered a review and some pointers to improvements I'm going to need to see before I can promote the article. I will be watching the page, but feel free to contact me on my talk page if I can be of any help/if you feel you have dealt with the issues raised. J Milburn (talk) 01:18, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm assuming you're not watching the review page. The article still needs significant improvement before it is going to hit GA status. If I've not seen any real improvement in a few days, I'm going to fail it. J Milburn (talk) 00:47, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

WikiCup 2010 January newsletter

We are half way through round one of the WikiCup. We've had some shakeups regarding late entries, flag changes and early dropouts, but the competition is now established- there will be no more flag changes or new competitors. Congratulations to Hungary Sasata (submissions), our current leader, who, at the time of writing, has more listed points than Pennsylvania Hunter Kahn (submissions) and New Orleans TonyTheTiger (submissions) (second and third place respectively) combined. A special well done also goes to Isle of Man Fetchcomms (submissions)- his artcle Jewel Box (St. Louis, Missouri) was the first content to score points in the competition.

Around half of competitors are yet to score. Please remember to submit content soon after it is promoted, so that the judges are able to review entries. 64 of the 149 current competitors will advance to round 2- if you currently have no points, do not worry, as over half of the current top 64 have under 50 points. Everyone needs to get their entries in now to guarantee their places in round 2! If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, by email or on IRC. Good luck! Copying Information

Hey there. Just so you know, when you're adding information to an article, you don't want to copy the source verbatim like you have done on The Legend of Zelda (2010 video game). Not only is it a form of plagiarism, it affects the flow of the article by stating points that are redundant, opinionated, or just plain un-encyclopedic. And be sure to cite your sources. Just wanted to let you know. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 20:02, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Pedro, I've started a GAN review for Peter Griffin. Please look over my comments and start to address the concerns I've raised, and I'll finish the review soon. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 05:03, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

  • I've added a bit more to the review, and I've come to the conclusion that I don't think the article is up to GA standards yet. I wanted to give you the chance to respond before I fail it, but unfortunately, I think that's the only decision that can be reached right now. As I said on the GAN review page, please don't be too disappointed! I hope you see this as a guide to making improvements rather than a disappointment, and I'm sure once the article is improved a bit, it will be back before WP:GAN soon! — Hunter Kahn 23:29, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Hey Pedro. I've started a GAN review of I Dream of Jesus. There is still quite a bit that has to be done, so please take a look at the review page as soon as you can. — Hunter Kahn 01:56, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi Pedro. I've been working on Rich Appel's page recently. It's basically done, but I was wondering if you knew of any more sources which talk about the work he did on Family Guy and American Dad. Especially a source saying he wrote "Family Gay" and The Cleveland Show pilot, and also saying which seasons he worked on FG and AD. Thanks, Gran2 14:50, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Striking

Hey Pedro. I see you started striking my objections yourself at the I Dream of Jesus GAN. Please do not do that. Just respond to each line with two bullets underneath each comment, and I'll strike them when I'm satisfied the concern has been addressed. Some editors get really annoyed by that kind of thing. It should be up to the reviewer to strike the objections, not the person responding to the comments. I've checked and everything you struck is fine, so I'm OK with it, but just keep this in mind for the future. (Also, please note my response to you about some quote-cutting you did...) — Hunter Kahn 22:01, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

GAN reviews

Hey Pedro. It's been more than a week since I've reviewed I Dream of Jesus, Road to Rhode Island, and Not All Dogs Go to Heaven over at WP:GAN. I know you started to address items on the first one, but there are still a lot of outstanding issues that haven't been addressed, and the other two haven't been touched at all. Usually I only leave an article on hold for about a week. Are you planning to follow through on those improvements? Let me know right away. If I don't hear anything after a few days, I'll probably fail them, and encourage you to nominate them again after you've addressed those concerns down the road. Let me know either way! — Hunter Kahn 03:09, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

  • Sorry, I thought I told you about All Dogs but I see now I forgot. Just take care of it when you can. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 22:07, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
    • I've passed Road to Rhode Island. Let me know when the others are done. Also, please make sure you write at the review page when you've addressed the complaints. You didn't do that at "Road to Rhode Island", so I didn't know you'd addressed the comments until later. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 05:54, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
