WOW!!! I get to post first again!!! (did so last time too)[edit]

Thanks for the info on the 'weird' books. Could we put them in their own "double book" category? Even while leaving it in the mystery category? the program can look for the "double book" category and by-pass listing it...Eagle talk 08:26, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also please look at kevinlewis talk page, (last 2 posts from me there) interesting stuff about a future auto-list I am coming up with... and I would love for you to be part of the initial shake down! (you can help find all of my logic errors, and prove that a monkey is smarter than I am!Eagle talk 08:26, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Please comment on the viability of this new auto-list, and any other good tid-bits you can give me. At this point I need all the input I can get!Eagle talk 08:29, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will give you a new cat for the movie list tomarrow... will be a sub-cat of fantasy.

look at the movie list for more comments of mine on the false hits you reported.Eagle talk 08:29, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Superbrands[edit]

I disagree with your edit of Superbrands. Superbrands is, in fact, a book series, published worldwide. Why should the category be irrelevant? -- S Masters 09:28, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ace article[edit]

Is a double book related only to Ace articles? Are there other double books out there by other authors or is it unique to ace? If it is not unique to Ace, than what about Category:Double books, or some other varity of that... Thanks Eagle talk 03:44, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I messed up the code...[edit]

I was working on a improvement to allow use of multiple passes by the regexes... and I introduced a bug into my program... I need to root it out. Please give me untill tomarrow to update your list. (sorry:-( Eagle talk 05:40, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New autolist[edit]

No... it is a new autolist that I am working on getting all of the kinks out. It is not quite yet ready for you all to look at. (I have not fixed all the problems that I know of, I don't need you pointing out what I missed... at least not yet!). Just keep an eye on this link, and when it turns blue... you will know to take a look. Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/NovelsInCompleteInfobox, plus I will send you a message letting you know. Sorry about the confusion!Eagle talk 02:32, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This category has article that needs to be split.

NOTE: can you do me a favor and put all of the 'false hits' in one location. (like you did for User:Eagle 101/films that are also novels list#Category:Fantasy films--- but for all of the categories. Then I only need to look at one place... It would make my job easier.)

And to steal a line from you... Cheers! Eagle talk 03:11, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More work[edit]

I don't want to leave you with-out work... there is about 121 new items in the sci-fiction novel category. Go break a leg!!! (or in your case... finger as in typing) Eagle talk 05:22, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Need a quick vote[edit]

Geeeeee without friends like me an Eagle, you'd probably get bored and lonely sans nothing to do! <g> I thought I was on wiki-break. Hah! Thank God for friends and email! Lend some vote help please!

re: Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion/Log/2006_June_15#Fabartus_user_categories This is a bit of spiteful non-sense— at least on the admin cats, imho.

Did you do anything on the ebook category? I'm having RL priorities and this has sucked up two hours plus!

Best regards // FrankB 18:24, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Add in: Alas: More collateral damage for an intemperate momemt! FrankB 21:41, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Film series[edit]

Looks like User:The Tramp is a vandal that keeps getting reverted. As long as the reversion process is kept up on that guy, we are safe. I will stop by films based on books and look around. How bad is the backlog?

On a personal note, how are you doing?
—Lady Aleena talk/contribs 03:23, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LoFU again, post Afd[edit]

List of fictional universes... Looks like you (we) prevailed. What can I do. Has your 'table idea' been tabled, scratched, or smashed? The article seems a lot shorter than I recall it being. As a I told Quiddity, this means now we have to put some time into it or be hypocrites!

Thanks for being my cavalry on the Cfd. The cats got renamed, but survived. The BOT messed up the names substitution and broke all the templates, so I've spent over half my day fixing things manually.

Still no answer from you on Category: Books available as ebooks (and you thought I just forgot these things <g>— I'm busy, not senile [yet, knock on wood and cross fingers!]). Should I just populate it, or should we rename it? Do we need to go the Cfd route, or act boldly (RU familiar with {{category redirect}}, and would you agree that the Cfd on that is pretty good evidence such that we could just go with a better name?) Iirc, there was a general consensus toward one shorter. (Looking at it, all but three or four items were things I added.)

What would you think of a template {{e-book}} with a little graphic similar in format to the {{commonscat}} template, but which would link to the URL of the e-book? I'd favor placing that high up in an article, even above a cover pic. It would auto-add the category. Just a thought (probably from fixing templates all night! I suggested dinner and a Movie, but the Boss wanted to plan it and laz-around.) // FrankB 05:09, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies[edit]

I'm sorry about all that. I'll keep that in mind for further film stubs. Thanks. ....(Complain)(Let us to it pell-mell) 23:08, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Wild America (film)[edit]

Can you discuss the stub chosen for this film with me here please? Talk:Wild_America_(film)

Hi I am Eagle[edit]

I responded to your note on the book fill split page Until next time!!! Eagle talk 05:05, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NewUser needs input[edit]

Newbie User_talk:Rdengrove#2 contacted me[1] about a large rewrite he did on Mephistopheles, and I plead 'ignorance', save for superficial passing familiarity. If you've got some knowledge in the area (or perhaps, instead on or about 'Faust'), or just want to be 'welcoming', see if you can lend a hand. Thanks! // FrankB 16:05, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Novel Film Split[edit]

Had you any thought on proposing a split in the article Thunderball from the James Bond series. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 09:33, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How about putting up a split notice - maybe on the talk page and seeing what the takers are. I would happily do the work but - same beef the FA status. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:13, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Novel sequence category[edit]

I have done the moving around of the Novel sequences and Novel series cats as proposed - see what you think. I believe the Novel sequence areticle should be impoved to make any distinction clear. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:13, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please check this list out ASAP. This list is not Novels InComleteInfobox, but it is a prototype that I want experianced editors with WP:NOVEL to look at first. More lists will be posted to this page. Infomation about the lists will be posted on with the lists. Please don't remove the articles, just have a look, make sure that it is accurate, and comment on the format. I want others to be able to see the list. (Yes in the end this page will be for Incomplete novels infoboxes :)Eagle talk 22:00, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note Pegship, the techniques used on this list can be used on your film list so please help me get everything right ;)Eagle talk 22:03, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Can you give some suggestions as to more features that you want... I have a completly new program that makes adding things a real snap! I did all the drudgery of making the new program, I want to have some fun adding things :) Eagle talk 22:51, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Note go ahead and respond back on the list's talk page. Eagle talk

From on Wikibreak[edit]

You might find this of professional and personal interest[2]. Left you an answer on Talk: Baen Books on that [e-book] section (I wrote) merge proposal. Cheers! // FrankB 20:54, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

--btw (Oops!) What sort of cat should be on a history documentary type short book? See: I See you been there already: A History of Murphy's Law, Ahem. Your clean-up was awfully fast on the draw! Since when does a stub-beginning need a clean? <g> (I'm not even supposed to be on the computer, much less doing WikiStuff!) // FrankB 21:00, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Despite your propensity to do violent things 1 to my prose, I trust you <g>. (Hmmmmmm, Wonder... How far can I throw you?) <g>
re:As for e-books and Baen, I do agree that some reference in the e-book article is appropriate, but a mention and a "see also" would do to keep the article trim.
I wonder how much of your answer is predjudiced by 'Dead-Tree' standards; we hardly have the same boundaries on our space, one of our strengths, me thimks. Links are fine... if and when seen, and the contrasting viewpoint in the topic should be on the table in the ebook article, IMHO, especially since it's proven to be finacially successful, wheresas by contrast the copyprotected methods are failing to generate income right and left. Baen could be left out (or relegated to a See Also), were it not for the fact they are leading that particular charge[3]. Slenderize if you feel inclined, but the contrast and success should be part of the article on the media. Be bold and do your 'trimming', and forget the merger tags! Me two cents—both of 'em, plugged. // FrankB 22:53, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And this just found! <g> (Amazing how guilty I feel just 'browsing'! My initial article on this Ezine was speedy-deleted, so it's really research, even thought I ain't wikiWorking today!) // FrankB 22:59, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
