Andrew A. Skolnick[edit]

Thanks for your note. Wikipedia has some strict rules. One of the most important is WP:BLP, which governs what we can say about living people. Two others are WP:V and WP:NOR, which requires that we use reliable published sources, and limit our use of primary sources. Court documents are not allowed (except perhaps opinions from appellate courts). The bottom line is that if the disposition of the case had been reported in a newspaper, we could use that as a source. But we can't look through court documents and pick out sentences to cite as facts.

Separately, a quick Google search indicates that there is a person named "Pete Ridley" who appears to be in a conflict with Skolnick over climate change. It's not ideal people to settle scores by adding negative material to Wikipedia biographies. I suggest that it'd be better if you used the talk page to suggest changes and let less involved editors make the final call.   Will Beback  talk  21:32, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct that posting on the talk page used intemperate language, and I've altered it slightly for compliance. However if your intent in coming here is to settle scores with the subject then you are misguided.   Will Beback  talk  22:24, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
