The Roof charts

Nathan, congrats on all you GAs. One thing I noted is that I searched on different websites, but couldn't see the chart for Roof (in UK). I guess it did not chart. Please check that. Novice7 Talk 14:27, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

My recent additions to the "All I Want For Christmas Is You" article.

Hello Nathan:

Regarding my recent edits to this article that provided additional chart information from the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay and Hot Adult Contemporary charts, please look at this reference for proof before you decide to delete them (even though I did provide references in the article this time). For additional proof, click the following link and scroll down to pages 102 and 109 from the actual January 7, 1995 issue of Billboard magazine to see the actual charts:

http://books.google.com/books?id=ugsEAAAAMBAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false

The wording of my additions to the article may not be the best, especially since I placed the information in between the information about the Hot 100 to keep it chronological, so feel free to clean it up. I think it's important to keep these references in the article, because it shows that the song did receive significant radio airplay even while it wasn't eligible for The Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

If you'd like the actual stats for the song on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay and Hot Adult Contemporary chart for the Christmas seasons of 1994-95, 1995-96 and 1996-97 (specifically chart peaks each year and number of weeks charted each year), please contact me. I can provide them to you in case you want to expand the article even further. --Sliv812 (talk) 18:06, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

RE:

I fixed up the composition on that article. The content was good it was just some music note things and coding. Anyway, could you comment here? Candyo32 22:24, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

"Oh Santa!" by Mariah Carey has its own page

Hello Nathan:

Just wanted to bring to your attention (in case you're unaware) that Mariah Carey's hit single "Oh Santa!" now has its own page, and it looks like it needs a ton of work (especially with grammar and spelling). I know that this article has been flip-flopping over the last couple of months to either be or not be redirected to the Merry Christmas II You album, but I still wanted to bring it to your attention.

Thanks. --Sliv812 (talk) 21:05, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Update: Nathan, it looks like user Jayy008 is talking care of a lot of the cleanup of the "Oh Santa!" article. --Sliv812 (talk) 21:08, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Katy Perry

I'd be completely happy if she always sang like that, lol. Can't believe she's nominated for four Grammys though. I guess she pulled a Beyoncé :P. Xwomanizerx (talk) 01:18, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Hello...

First, Yay!!!! Mimi tops the Adult Contemporary charts!! I have no words to express my happiness!! Next, if you can spare some time, can you review my GA nomination of So Yesterday. I've worked on this article for sometime now. Thanks...Novice7 Talk 04:15, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

It's ok... btw, as Oh Santa peaked at number one on AC, I hope it charts on hot 100 too. Novice7 Talk 04:48, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Right then Nathan. Meanwhile, I'll be working on the next articles. I got the Whitney Houston book (too bad its the 1995 one). When are you gonna start working on Always Be My Baby (my favorite song :D)? Also, I wish to see another Mimi hit, through Oh Santa.. Novice7 Talk 04:53, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

"When You Believe" for "Love in This Club"? I'm quite keen to get mine done before next year lol. Adabow (talk · contribs) 21:00, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Haha, yeah, I thought "Why not?". There aren't many pictures of Usher in performance like there are with Mimi and Gaga (have you seen Gaga's collection?), and when I removed the non-free I noticed there were hardly any left, so yeah... btw, "When You Believe" passed! It's taken me a while to get back to you, sorry about that! I am to reply back but then it slips my mind. I do plan to finish your last GAN soon ASAP! Lol. I'll get to TMO errors later and comment back on your FAC. I see "Oh Santa!" is climbing up iTunes. I hope it really charts on the Hot 100. Candyo32 01:55, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm kind of confused as to what they mean, but I do see the current chord progression does not appear in the sheet. So I replaced it, and I kind of confused at what you mean by source with each claim, because all sheets in some way or form carry the notes in the progression. So I hope I did what was needed! Sales

Lol, I thought it might have been you "thanks so much for all this info, your the best" - your signature "your" when it should be "you're" :P. I think it's quite hard to tell what he said "A reader asked about Mariah Carey's #1s (3,745,000)". Adjust it if you think I'm wrong, though... I have tried to post to him, but the thing keeps saying "Error: Invalid comment. udb result: -105" – it pisses me off so much lol. Adabow (talk · contribs) 04:42, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

That was really you Nathan? OMG! Ha ha ha. Thank god Paul answered so many questions, don't you think? — Legolas (talk2me) 11:19, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
As for the change that I did at the AIWFCIY article, did you understand it? This is done for WP:ACCESS issues. Remember Nathan, not everyone uses a normal 800x600 browser, and adding a 230px or 280px image overlaps sections for them. The page appears broken too. Hence it is always best to leave them without the pixel size, so that the pictures will be suitably shifted accordign to the screen resolution. I hope I made myself clear. If you still have doubts, please feel free to ping me. This time seems like the article will pass. :) — Legolas (talk2me) 15:22, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Mimi WikiProject??

Hey Nathan.. What do you say about Mariah Carey WikiProject. Even Beyonce is getting a WikiProject treatment (well, they've got many supports, including me LOL). If you do start a WikiProject, it'd a sure and strong support from me.. Novice7 (talk) 08:19, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

If you do, it would be wise to wait until Beyonce's goes through before you initiate it. Adabow (talk · contribs) 08:40, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes, for sure.. I want Beyonce's to be approved. Earlier, I proposed a Whitney Houston WikiProject, but it was in vain. No support and I had to close it. But, I really think that Mariah Carey Wikiproject would be approved. And, I'll wait until Beyonce's is initiated. Novice7 (talk) 09:51, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Glad you proposed Nathan. We'd have a lot to do.. The albums (Remixes, Greatest Hits, Valentines EP, and lots more). I'd happy to research and complete the articles. Btw, does Shapiro's book say anything about Rainbow Era? And what about Glitter → Emancipation eras? Just asking.. Anyways, Love MC 4 Eva!! Don't think that I'm a Whitney or Jessica fan. I love MC the most that anyone else Lol. Novice7 | Talk 11:02, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
I have a copy of Nickson book that my cousin gave to me. That's all. About Whitney's page, I actually have not added any sources and I've written some garbage information. I need to format it and clean it up soon. I'll give you the Sandbox, it is Sandbox27. I'm thinking of taking Whitney Houston album to FA soon. About MC, is there really a U Like This Megamix? I've never heard that before.. I've searched everywhere for that.. Good luck Nathan! I'm sure the Project would be successful. Novice7 | Talk 11:22, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Candyo32 - Merry CHRISTmas :) 13:48, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi

I write this in peace :) We both know Merry Christmas is not the best seling Christmas album of all time. But Wikipedia will allow you to say that because it is sourced. However Mariah's label says "one of the best selling", and this year they wrote it sold/shipped 12 million. Elvis Pressley has sold/shipped 12 million in the U.S. alone (and it is a number from few years ago). His album is also Platinum in Canada and Silver in the UK. I haven't checked other countries. So it has clearly sold more. Celine also has sold 12 million (wonder what's the difference between her and Mariah). But since most editors supported you, I will leave it.

As you know I like Mariah and I watch all her performances promoting new album. I wish "Oh Santa" could chart on the Billboard Hot 100. But she's still around #110 on iTunes and hasn't reached top 100 yet. She has 2 more weeks to achieve that. Fingers crossed.

Maybe you will ask Paul Grein about "The Remixes" sales? This number of 199,000 copies should be updated.

And about Celine: I hate Sony for not updating Celine's certifications. Example: in the U.S. All the Way... A Decade of Song has sold 7,934,000 copies and is still 7x platinum. Only 66,000 copies missing to 8 million. It must have shipped much more than 66,000 copies! And it's the same with her other albums (and not only in the US).

I don't understand this WikiProject. We have already all the articles about Mariah. What more can we do? --Max24 (talk) 12:38, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
