Welcome![edit]

Hello, Pgallego, and welcome to Wikipedia! I would be happy to help you out as you figure out Wikipedia. I assume you found me through the Adopt-a-user program. I put an infobox on your user page to reflect that. If that's not the case, or if you'd prefer a less formal mentorship, feel free to remove the box.

If you have any questions, just leave a message on my talk page. I usually check in at least once a day on weekdays, so you shouldn't have to wait too long for a response. If I don't get back to you soon enough, feel free to ask others. Most people on Wikipedia are very willing to help. The New contributors' help page is a useful place to ask questions if I'm not answering fast enough.

Here's one little tip to get you started: Whenever you post something on a talk page, or somewhere like the New contributors' help page, sign your name by putting four tildes (~~~~) at the end. The wiki software automatically translates that into your name and the date, so it's much easier for people to see who is talking.

Have fun, and enjoy Wikipedia! —PurpleRAIN 16:39, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption[edit]

Hi. I realize I haven't done much in the way of adoption -- I figured that you'd come to me if you had questions. Sorry if that didn't work out for you. Anyway, I'm likely to be less involved at Wikipedia, so I'm stepping back from the adoption thing for a while. If you still feel like you need adoption, head back to Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user, where there are several willing adopters who'll be able to help you. Thanks. —PurpleRAIN 15:49, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
