New source for William Stanley

Hi Phantomsteve, is everything alright? I'm writing to you because I've found a really interesting source of information about William Stanley. I hope it to be helpful to you! http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=william%20ford%20robinson%20stanley —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amarill0 (talkcontribs) 01:25, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for that - I had a quick look, and I think that both of those publications are mentioned in the article, but when I get a chance, I'll add the links to the article - there are also a few at http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%28William%20Ford%20Stanley%29 - as well as some at http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%28William%20Stanley%29 (but that includes more for other writers)! (Life really is hectic at the moment, and I just popped on to quickly check for messages!) -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 08:38, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
I'm not ignoring this! I've been busy with my 3 day old son! I will add this information soon, when I get a chance! -- PhantomSteve.alt/talk\[alternate account of Phantomsteve] 08:31, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism

I was hoping that you might be able to give me a judgement call on vandalism. I will supply all of the links in a minute. An IP, on their first edit, replaced an article with some silly comments. (surely {{uw-error1}} or {{uw-delete1}} to me). A user gave them an immediate final warning. I came across this because the IP vandalised the same article a second time. I removed the immediate final warning and replaced it with the level two caution {{uw-error2}} (the initial "General Note" that should have been given instead of the immediate final warning, and the "Caution" that should have followed the initial "General Note".) I left a detailed note on the warner's talk page. Another editor has come along seemingly implying that an immediate final warning was justified. The article was Scissors, the IP was 74.102.20.237 (now blocked), and the thread was this one. I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks •• Fly by Night (talk) 22:00, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi, as you may have noticed, I haven't been on Wikipedia much during the last couple of weeks - I've got a baby son to pay attention to! I will look into this next week, if that's OK! I've jut popped on for a few mins to do a couple of things, so thought I should let you know that I have read this, and that I am not ignoring it! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 20:02, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Congratulations

On the baby son. Hope you're getting enough sleep. 67.136.117.132 (talk) 16:15, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Thank you! I'm curious though - do I know you? I am getting enough sleep - my little boy is very good to me and his mum, we've only had a couple of bad nights! -- PhantomSteve.alt/talk\[alternate account of Phantomsteve] 17:44, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Yes, you know me. I'm a supposedly-retired Wikipedian who can't keep from typing wikipedia.org into his browser. Take a look at my contribs, I'm an experienced user. I'm editing from work, and we all have the same IP, so some edits from other individuals may creep / have crept in, but a vast majority will be mine. I don't know how much longer I can hold off before I log back into my account and resume the "heavier lifting" stuff. The real downside to editing without logging in is that I can't see my watchlist. 67.136.117.132 (talk) 17:56, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
A "retired" Wikipedian who keeps coming back? That doesn't narrow it too much! However, from the IP contribs I can see that you are experienced - and look forward to seeing you again under your proper name! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 21:58, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
