Thanks for that! What's weird about G7 in my opinion is that it goes against WP:OWN. Imagine someone writes an amazing article, then submits it for CSD under G7, wouldn't that be detrimental for the encyclopaedia? Just my curious thoughts on it, and why I usually don't use that one. Requesting To Restore the Page "My Movie Productions"

Thanks for contacting me. When the page was deleted, it was not because someone thought that the company did not exist.

The reason why it was deleted is that there is no indication that it meets the criteria for inclusion in Wikipedia. The article did not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject.

It is of course possible that there is some significant coverage at independent sources which can verify that this new company is important or significant, but as a film production company that is about 5 months old, and with (so far) two productions on YouTube (and another one, a "main film", due to start filming in April), it is perhaps too early to be able to show that it is a notable company yet.

There is also the problem that the way the article was written reads like promotional material. Wikipedia is not a promotional vehicle for new companies or films - it is an encyclopaedia for subjects which are already notable.

The only information about the company that I could find were on your own website/Facebook/Twitter/YouTube - none of which are considered independent and/or reliable sources; I could find no press coverage, or other coverage other than your own work - and as you are one of the people involved directly in the company, you have a clear conflict of interest.

As such, I see no reason why the page is about a subject which should be in Wikipedia at this time, and so I will not be restoring the page. Regards, PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 00:12, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Ivan Rusilko/Dr Ivan Rusilko Page Deleted

Hello, I'm writing to ask for reinstatement of the article for Dr. Ivan Rusilko that was recently deleted, citing 'unambiguous promotion' as the cause for removal. Would you be willing to "userfy" the recently deleted article so that it can be revised to meet Wiki's content standards? Thank you for your consideration. Before I deleted the article, I checked the provided sources/references. Several of them did not work, and most of those that did work were either press releases (which are not considered to be independent), or from sources which did not appear to meet the reliable source standard, or consisting of WP:Interviews of Ivan about himself - which would be neither neutral nor independent.

As such, I saw nothing that would be able to be "saved" from the article as it stood. The various contributors appear to have a close personal connection with Rusilko, and as such are creating an article for the wrong reason - they should not create an article for their friend or employer (see conflict of interest).

Personally, I see nothing in the deleted article that would justify userfying it, and so on this occasion, I am declining your request. Regards, PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 18:21, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
