Apparently you think that I (Colin Percival) am notable enough to merit a Wikipedia article. I'm not sure that I agree with you, but if you decide to write one, here are some things you might want to mention:

  • Entered Simon Fraser University in 1994, at age 13, while in grade 9; spent 4 years taking university courses while completing high school; received a B.Sc. in Mathematics in 2001.
  • Ran the PiHex project (see wikipedia article) while at SFU.
  • Received a Commonwealth scholarship and entered Wadham College at Oxford University in 2001; received a D.Phil. in computing in 2006.
  • Discovered a side channel in Intel Hyperthreading CPUs (see wikipedia article on Hyper-threading).
  • Wrote bsdiff, FreeBSD Update, and Portsnap.
  • Currently (as of June 2008) Security Officer for FreeBSD.
  • Currently a member of the Senate of Simon Fraser University.
