Still alive?[edit]

Hey there! I was just going over some of my talk page archives and remembered our short but amicable discussion there, and was disappointed to see that you've blanked your user and talk pages. Just wondering what happened? It would be a shame if you stopped editing completely. Hope to see you around some more. Take care. -- œ 13:43, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello! Well truthfully, I was upset at Wikipedia's "blackout" during the SOPA thing. I'm not taking a side on the issue, but I do take issue with an encyclopedia showing bias. To me, that takes away any credibility, as an encyclopedia should be neutral. So I decided to pack it in. That's the condensed version! :) Pianotech Talk to me!/Contribs 10:19, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hope you can help. Jonathan Levey (talk) 19:49, 1 November 2014 (UTC)Jonathan[reply]

Request Help once more on my dad's wiki page, Harris Levey comic book illustrator[edit]

Dear Piantotech: I am not sure if this is where I post my message to you. So my apologies if this note is not in the right place and does not follow proper Wikipedia rules. You likely recall all of the wonderful hep and encouragement you were in as siting me to follow the wikipedia rules yet still post a bio on my dad's contribution to the Golden Age of comics. I cannot thank you enough. OlEnglish too. I stooped editing my dad's page after taking a break for several months, because I found that I had forgotten all of the rules and best practices for positing new info and modifying this page and adding citations, etc. I pretty much felt it was too overwhelming to re-learn and move forward, so I left wiki, content knowing that my dad at least had a nice initial bio. My hope was that some fans of my dad, or his air wave comic creation might take up where I left off, adding new material and helping to post relevant links and documentation. Unfortunately, this did not happen (much). Several years have elapsed and after 4 years of my carryon gout further research on my dad's career, and collaborating with respected Golden Age Comic Historian, Roy Thomas to document my dad's many artistic contributions to Detective comics and other comics as well, Roy's publisher, John Morrow over at: www.twomorrows.com will be featuring the artwork and story of my dad's contributions in their upcoming Alter Ego Magazine, issue #125, in June 2014 (it will actually start to ship out in May, 2014): http://twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1123 as yo can imagine I am thrilled about this pending publication. Sat this critical juncture, I feel inclined once again to add some new artwork, photos and information into my dad's wikipedia article, but I am still almost "phobic" ;) about trying to post this since I would need to spend hours again, learning the rules, methods, etc. I wonder if yo might be willing and available to help me a bit , both with postings and with advice. I recall that I could never remember how many tildes to out at the end of my messages to people (Jonathan Levey (talk) 01:26, 8 February 2014 (UTC)), so I hope this will start to come back to me soon and all will move forward. I'd like to begin by knowing if there a permissible way to put the link to my dad's upcoming Alter Ego article, but I am pretty sure this is NOT allowed since it will (understandably) be viewed a s advertising. Still, might a mention of this publication: the name of the magazine and the issue number and title , be posted? Also I have some photos of my dad that I would like t pst in the upper right corner of his page where his main bio info is... but "how" to do that? If I send yo the photo as an attachment can yo help me to do this asap? If so, should it be at low-resolution or high resolution (ie. 75DPI, 200DPI or 600DPI). Please advise.

Here is the link to hi upcoming feature story: http://twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1123

Request immediate help to properly tag image[edit]

Can you please help me to tag the black and white image of two men sitting at an art table that is shown in the upper right corner of my wiki article on Harris Levey?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harris_Levey

This 1940 photo image that was given to me by the deceased owner (my father, Harris Levey).

I tried to follow the wiki rules for tagging photos but must have done this incorrectly as the imageTaggingBot sent me a notification that my image was not tagged (to see its message, click on the following link and scroll down to bottom of the page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jonathanlevey

The best help would be for someone to actually make this required modification for me as I have sent hours on the computer and wiki tutorials trying to learn how to execute this process correctly. But to no avail Many thanks! Jonathan Levey (talk) 04:30, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
