Futureskills[edit]

Hi. I'm afraid this article still reads like an advert, a press release, or an entry in a directory listing. The Wikipedia is nit the place for any of these. Unless you can prove without doubt the notability (fame, longstanding, recognised and awarded services to a wide community, etc), the article is likely to be deleted. Thank you for your input. I am new in Wikipedia and I am learning. I made lots of changes to Futureskills High School and removed the un-necessary references. Please check it out and let me know if more changes are needed. Please be specific if possible and give me good examples (a private school). I checked the other private schools in Toronto. I think, I have made a better job than the followingS:

Hi,
Let's take them one by one and see how they compare with your article:

College of Toronto is a one-line stub. Perfectly neutral, and can in no way be considered promotional. The mention of its opening hours is unencyclopedic.
The Abelard School makes no attempt to disguise its blatant advertsing, and there is not one single third party reference. This article has slipped through the net. Thank you for bringing it to our notice.
Yorkland School is fairly neutral, and sufficient in scope for a school article. However, it too is completely unsourced, and will be tagged as needing attention.

Although there is a consensus at Wikipedia that all secondary schools are notable and can have a page, we are very strict that 'school brochure' material is not included, and that any claims to being the oldest, the biggest, the most high performing, etc, must be substantiated with verifiable WP:RS. Schools that are run as a business (even if their status is a not-for-profit), and yours is, will obviously come under closer scrutiny than state run schools for which we can rely on publicly accessible governments records and inspection reports for their age, size, facilities, academic performance, etc. Take a look at these school articles, which I think are good and of which two will soon be nomiated as Wikipedia Good Article candidates. (WP:GA):

I removed the words and sections that looked like an advertisement. The lead section had already been added. The reference issues were addressed. Please remove the tags if you find it acceptable.
