Italian?[edit]

You said: "Hi, as I noticed you deleted Trivia section, do you have any real reason for that, or just because jou think that it is Italian? Please check data before deletion. Regards, Plantago 12:18, 4 December 2006 (UTC)"[reply]

Here is your edit: O lijepa, o draga, o slatka slobodo" ("Oh, beautiful, oh dear, oh sweet freedom!"). This does not appear in the song.

And these are the actual lyrics. which part below is Croatian?

Is there a time for keeping your distance A time to turn your eyes away Is there a time for keeping your head down For getting on with your day

Is there a time for kohl and lipstick A time for cutting hair Is there a time for high street shopping To find the right dress to wear

Here she comes Heads turn around Here she comes To take her crown

Is there a time to run for cover A time for kiss and tell Is there a time for different colours Different names you find it hard to spell

Is there a time for first communion A time for East 17 Is there a time to turn to Mecca Is there time to be a beauty queen

Here she comes Beauty plays the clown Here she comes Surreal in her crown

Is there a time for tying ribbons A time for Christmas trees Is there a time for laying tables And the night is set to freeze --Merbabu 12:55, 4 December 2006 (UTC) --Merbabu 15:05, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, but what is the relevance to the article? Trvia = trivial = not notable --Merbabu 15:05, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Map of dialects in Montenegrin language article[edit]

As you were the first to edit information that was there for a long time, it would be nice if you at first place provided some references yourself to support your claims. However, you can refer to Vuk Stefanović Karadžić, Simo Matavulj and other researchers as well as the former population censuses of these areas to make sure that there are - or at least, there were - speakers of these dialects who declared as Serbs. Cheers, --George D. Božović 18:16, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, but Wikipedia articles are not reliable references to claim upon while supporting claims in other articles. I think it says somewhere, on some Wikipedia pages about citing sources (I can't look for it now). Many well-known Slavicists such as Safarik, Dobrovsky, and Vuk Karadzic have considered all Shtokavian dialects Serbian. Simo Matavulj was Serbian author who often wrote in his native Western Ikavian dialect. Slavonian dialect was used by Serbs of Slavonia (today mostly assimilated into Croats, yet some of them left in eastern Slavonia). --George D. Božović 15:00, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Serbs speak Ikavian? Yeah, and cows fly. Be serious.
Serbs assimilated into Croats (in Slavonia)? Live a life.
That, what you've said is heavy POV. Kubura 07:54, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are Croats who speak German you know. ;) --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 13:30, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jakov Mikalja[edit]

Hi, Plantago.
Was this message your [1]? It shows some IP, but I believe it's your message. By style, it looks like yours.
I'm trying to explain something to Giovanni Giove. Kubura 12:33, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll correct the message I've posted him. Kubura 12:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the notice. You are better informed about Mikalja than I am, so please rewrite the introductory paragraph in the way that seems most truthful to you. I will not change it. --Zmaj 13:44, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just a suggestion: the last sentence you added (His work is an integral part of development and standardization of Croatian modern language.) could be included in the introductory paragraph, since it underlines his importance. --Zmaj 14:33, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thx, the introduction looks just fine now. Yeah, it's nice here in Zagreb, but it's even nicer in Istria, where I'm going in ten days. I can't wait! --Zmaj 14:50, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well I won't edit-war for you (heh ;) but I'll see what I can do.
1. No, there definitely never was
2. Yes there is. The Serbs in Hungary called their language "Illyrian". Đorđe Branković called his language Illyrian. One of the greatest influences were the fact that the Serbian 19th century Dukedom had Illyrian next to German as official (was at the end switched to "Serbo-Croat").
3. I have encountered Giovanni Giove before, and he is quite prone on pushing the "Latin-POV" version on Dalmatian (Croatian) -related articles. Call him to discuss what's wrong, civilly, at the talk page. If he creates problems by ignoring pleas/warnings/similar - report him directly to WP:AN.
I hopw I helped at least a bit. ;) --PaxEquilibrium 20:42, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Csd warn[edit]

A tag has been placed on Rudolf barrack, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Data twister[edit]

She was "twisting" the data from historical sources and in that form inserted them into her works. Later she was finding some excuses, but when you see all the crap she wrote, and approaches (supporters, not scientific), everything 'll be clear to you. Re: Transportation[edit]

I agree, splitting transportation would be a good idea. As for the Museums section, I've been thinking about it for a longer time, but I'm not sure whether it would be better to keep that list as is in a separate article, or create stubs for each museum mentioned.
