Re: Reversions for Xavier School article[edit]

Hi, Pat.

Thank you for your message. Please note that I did the third revert today then Rmcsamson reverted the third revert -- thus, violating the three-revert rule. Since this was the case, I deem that it was necessary to still maintain the integrity of the article as it reflects on the institution I belong to. As provided in the reversion note, I ask for a detailed explanation of the changes made on the article's talk page.

If you may note, I've generally revamped the whole article such that it may be at par with those of other institutions -- and what Wikipedia articles should look like based on the provided guidelines. I understand that Rmcsamson has been keeping watch of this and other pages but little has he done to improve its quality. Loss of valid and authentic updates happened due to his clumsy reversions and edits. This is of course forgivable as we all commit errors.

And yes, I don't believe in edit wars. As mentioned above, I only seek to maintain its quality.

Thanks for getting back. Here's the thing: in a content dispute, one side always thinks they're protecting the value of the encyclopedia. But violating 3RR is not acceptable except in clear cut cases, and this is most certainly not clear cut. If you have any issues with the page, I suggest taking it to the talk page. It takes longer than just adding it, but using brute force accomplishes little, and only gets people upset and blocked. Talking out an issue, and stating reasoning usually can bring out why one side doesn't like a specific addition or removal. -Patstuart^talk|edits 16:27, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In the case of an image deletion warning, that tag isn't a warning in the same sense as {{test2}} or one of the other user warning templates. The warning is a notification of a discussion, rather than an indication that you have done something wrong. Images, except in cases of obvious problems, are not deleted when the uploader is not notified of the deletion discussion and so it is necessary for the closing admin to know that you have been informed of the discussion. Personally, I don't care (although others might) about deleting the warning tags from your own talk page (closing the discussion is obviously not permissible, though), but the fact that you removed the warnings needs to be noted so that the closing admin knows that you have been warned. With regards to your previous edits[edit]

Let's look at the PAREF Southridge School article. ~~You and Howard could battle for infoboxes for all I care but don't disregard legitimate edits with reckless reversion~~. You accidentally reverted this edit of mine which clearly stated Minor copy-editing, fixed headers, etc. at the edit summary. I'm afraid this might make things look like all you care for is that infobox rather than constructive edits to the articles involved. As for the Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School article, unless you can expand your infobox to include all the information that the Infobox Secondary school has, please don't change it; you're omitting too much information. Also, very short stubby articles don't need infoboxes because the content can already be found at the lead sentence/paragraph, making it look redundant. Why did you revert? I've already merged the twon infoboxes. You can add religious affiliation to the affiliation parameter. Frankly, we don't need barangay, since Wikipedia is not a directory. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). Changing other user's iamge licenses[edit]

Please do not change the licenses other users have placed on their images. A {{pd-self}} tag or anything along that lines means that the user releases all rights to it as they made it themselves.
