Adding reference to Wikipedia articles[edit]

Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Hello Poems of borns! Please do not forget to add references from reliable sources for the content you add to Wikipedia. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,

This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --Kautilya3 (talk) 17:35, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Om Beach[edit]

Indeed normal users can't delete an article. They may, however, change an article on a non-notable subject to a redirect. As you are well aware, this is a thoroughly dull stretch of sand about which there is nothing to say and a redirect serves well. If you are stupid enough to revert the edit I will simply list it an AfD.TheLongTone (talk) 14:22, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is an article on adjacent Kudle beach which is much less notable than om beach. It is notable and trending well in google trends https://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=om%20beach%2C%20kudle%20beach&geo=IN&cmpt=q&tz=Etc%2FGMT-5%3A30 And changing article into redirect is nothing but deletion which normal users cant do. You can try speedy deletion template for which admin will decide, which i wont be able to revert. Poems of borns (talk) 15:30, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Thattekere[edit]

The article Thattekere has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable place.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. | Naypta opened his mouth at 06:37, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hampi, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Musical, Motif and Aqueduct. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:53, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Other side of the story listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Other side of the story. Since you had some involvement with the Other side of the story redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Images in Thattekere article[edit]

Hello, I do not believe it is appropriate to have two images in the Thattekere article. In the beginning, I deleted the image without discussion because 1) the article is very short and there is no space for two photos, 2) the image in the infobox provides sufficient visualisation of the village and 3) there is no point in having two highly similar photos in the article. I see no reason whatsoever to have the additional photo in the article and did not anticipate my deleting of it to be a big problem. Please tell me why you feel otherwise. Thanks — Sunnya343✈ (háblamemy work) 00:51, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I believe adding another pic is adds value to the article. Poems of borns (talk) 04:46, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies, I did not see your response here. If you could please elaborate on this value. To me, the additional image looks pretty much the same as the one in the infobox. Also, the article is so short that the second image awkwardly appears next to the infobox and in the References section. — Sunnya343✈ (háblamemy work) 04:53, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have replied only today. The second pic shows forest in the background, unlike the other pic. Please refrain from further revert, otherwise you will be blocked on technical grounds of wp:3rr. Poems of borns (talk) 06:55, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

October 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Filpro. I noticed that you recently removed some content from List of Indian states and union territories by GDP per capita without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
