January 2022[edit]

Hello, I'm Falcon Kirtaran. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Global Hotel Alliance seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. FalconK (talk) 23:48, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. SpencerT•C 01:52, 30 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I now see that this name which was originally associated with a non-commercial blog has become inappropriate - apologies. My future contributions will relate to hotels/hospitality, where I have expertise and knowledge. This first post was intended to update content to reflect changes to an entity that occurred in early December 2021

OK. Do you have any connections to pointsnplaces or anyone involved with it? Daniel Case (talk) 06:48, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

user:daniel case Yes I do, so wlll not be citing that as a reference in future.

Name change[edit]

Hi Daniel. Yes I am, so once the name change is made and I am again able to edit, I will remove the reference to it and not cite it as a reference in future.

Rename not successful[edit]

The software refuses. The chosen username is too similar to an existing username or it used to be username of someone else that got renamed: Oztraveller. Please make another selection. Perhaps this with some numbers tacked on. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 14:11, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
