Hello world.

Orphaned non-free media (File:The_Hillmen.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:The_Hillmen.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 04:39, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Planning an article for The Hillmen?[edit]

Hi! I saw your article for The Hillmen’s one and only album and I'm just wondering if you're planning to create a Wikipedia article for The Hillmen themselves? The reason I ask is because under Wikipedia naming conventions, The Hillmen (album) should really be moved to The Hillmen namespace because there is currently only one article on the English Wikipedia with the title "The Hillmen", so there's no need to disambiguate with the word "album". However, if you are planning to create an article about the band at The Hillman namespace, there's no problem, and The Hillmen (album) can stay where it is. Personally, since the band's one and only album now has an article, I think the next logical step is to create an article for the band itself. I can certainly help you out with reliable inline references if you do decide to go ahead with this. If you'd rather not, I think I might create the article myself anyway, but I wanted to see whether or not you were intending to do it yourself first. --Kohoutek1138 (talk) 21:19, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kohoutek! I was thinking about an article, but at this point I couldn't add much value to the page over what I've written about the album. So if you want to do one, be my guest! BTW, your user page is quite impresive. Since I am brand new at doing any but minor edits, would you mind if I asked a question or two as I run into issues? Thanks! Sure, ask me anything you'd like. I'm a fairly experienced editor when it comes to music-related articles and I have a pretty good grasp of the music manual of style. Having read your above comments, I think I'm gonna go ahead and create an article at The Hillmen namespace over the next few days. It'll probably be little more than a stub to begin with, but at least it'll give others something to expand on if they so desire. --Kohoutek1138 (talk) 09:35, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just to let you know, I created a short article for The Hillmen today. --Kohoutek1138 (talk) 11:59, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Epperley (album), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Alternative, David Terry and Epperly. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:Epperley (Epperley album - cover art).pdf[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Epperley (Epperley album - cover art).pdf. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
