Request reason:

I would have appealed sooner, however up until now I felt that nobody would even care to look into this. However, I would really like to get back to what I was planning on doing, so here I am. I don't understand why I have received an indefinite ban. I sincerely feel that the administrator who blocked my account is discriminating against me for being a pro-police advocate. The administrator has never made any attempt to contact me to determine my intentions on this platform, so how could they possible know if I am here to try and build an encyclopedia or not? Furthermore, I have stated multiple times that the reason I requested "confirmed user" permissions was because I was in fact attempting to create an encyclopedia. I have stated multiple times that the reason I requested said permissions was so that I could update various law enforcement agencies' pages with their actual rank insignias, which would help build an encyclopedia. However, you can't upload images to Wikipedia until you are a "confirmed user", so that's why I applied for it so many times. This is my first offense, and yet not only did I receive an account ban, but I have also been barred from ever making a new account. I ask that this please be looked into, as these are extremely harsh punishments for something that doesn't warrant said punishments. Thank you, and have a nice day. 𝓓𝓻𝓮𝔀 𝓡. Request reason:

Greetings, I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I've been an idiot in the past, and I would like to apologize for that. I've changed significantly since I was first blocked. I'm requesting once again to be unblocked as I would like to update the California State Guard Wiki page to be more accurate, as I have recently joined the CSG myself, and I feel that insider information on the agency would be beneficial for others to have access to. I ask that you grant me a second chance, because I personally believe that everyone should be granted a chance at redemption. Thank you for your consideration, and have a great night. 𝓓𝓻𝓮𝔀 𝓡. Decline reason:

I'm sorry, but if you think insider information is the sort of thing we want on Wikipedia, you aren't ready to be unblocked. Please slow down and don't make another unblock request until you've read WP:5P and the policies linked there. Yamla (talk) 13:01, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

02/27/2022 ADENDEUM: My apologies, apparently what I meant was misinterpreted. What I meant by "insider information" was already publicly-accessible information that can be confirmed, clarified, or added upon due to my knowledge of the CSG as a whole. I wasn't planning, nor do I ever plan, to leak non-public or classified information. That'd be against my oath, against my personal morals, and most certainly against the UCMJ. I'm not looking to get court martialed and sent to Fort Leavenworth. Again, apologies for the miscommunication. I should've chosen my words more carefully.

Decline reason:

I think you misinterpreted Yamla's previous decline - the issue isn't classified information (although you definitely shouldn't be posting that publicly either), but rather compliance with Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. As requested below, please give an example of an edit you'd like to make, along with the reliable, independent sources that support the changes. firefly ( t · c ) 11:51, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove declined unblock requests. As the boldface text says, "Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked". I guess maybe we should make this boldface red text or something? Anyway, it would help if you posted here on your talk page an example edit you'd like to make. Include encyclopedic information and a citation to a reliable source. If you have joined the CSG, I would discourage you from editing the page as it is against WP:COI, if you do wish to make an edit on a page you have a COI with, you should make an edit request on the talk page. Zippybonzo (talk) 20:26, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
