Speedy deletion of PEI Media[edit]

A tag has been placed on PEI Media, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. AfD nomination of PEI Media[edit]

An editor has nominated PEI Media, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PEI Media and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 17:59, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

March 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with PEI Media. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 22:49, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Praddy. You created List of countries by sovereign wealth funds and I'm not really sure if that page is needed. It seems that all the same information is on the Sovereign Wealth Fund page. I recommend that we get rid of this page. Plus some of the info on the page is not the same as Sovereign Wealth Fund. Thanks --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 01:00, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok that sounds good. I added a few new SWFs such as the Saudi and Russian fund. I believe there are only about 40 SWFs that meet the somewhat strict definition of a SWF. If you include all government owned investment vehicles-like many sources do, then the number is much higher. Thanks --PatrickFlaherty (talk) 03:50, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on World Blitz Chess Championship requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Flewis(talk) 10:17, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
