As I said before, I'm a Muslim. In fact, if you reviewed any of my work on Wikipedia you'd see I'm quite partial to Shi'ah Islam - though I'm not a Twelver, I am a Shi'ah.

The image is not meant to defame the Imam. It's cut and pasted from an amusing discussion that was had on the Shia Islam talkpage ages ago where someone stuck up a picture of Nosferatu and said, "This could be the Imam!" Their point was that no picture resembles the man who actually lived, it's all artistic license.

Quite a few of us thought it was hysterical, so I kept it as a souvenir. I'm going to continue to keep it, because I am a Shi'ah and I'm not seriously stating Imam Ali was a vampire... it's a joke. Humour is halaal, you know. ناهد/(Nåhed) _speak! 08:23, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Salaam

I wanted to clear a few things up with you, brother, about our sister Nahed.

• She is a Muslimah, she even has Shi'a tendencies. She has done lots of work to help articles, especially on Shi'a Islam.
• You should not vandalize her page, this is Ramadan, and it is awful during this month for us to fight other Muslims. Remember the sayings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) about this. I advise both of us to fear being distant from our heart's beloved, the everlasting Beauty, Allah.
• The origin of the vampire picture was brought up by another user who was against our use of pictures. He used the picture to say that anyone could say that was Imam Ali (AS), and it would be still grossly inaccurate. It was a really stupid argument, and sister Nahed is not trying to make fun of our dear Imam (AS) and in fact mourns him like we Shi'a do. She has love for Ahl al-Bayt (AS), she only found the situation funny.

Love other Muslims, and trust in their sincerity. Imam Ali (AS) did not strike down the Kharijites who cursed him while he was on the pulpit. Are either of us greater than Imam Ali (AS)? --Enzuru 09:02, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Salaam

Brother first of all I want to make clear I'm not at all a Muslim ( but I do have a respect for Ramadan and Muslims). I just recently found Wikipedia when I was searching for some help content for a school project. When I registered with the site I was directed to some policy pages. I don't know much about who Ali was except I know of some Shias who keep saying Ali Ali all the time (from this I figured out that he must've been of some higher status in Islam). I just thought what she's doing is against those policies and that's it. I didn't know you are Muslims and if you think it's OK to further publicize the mocking of your Imam then it's okay. I'm in no way an extremist but personally I won't allow it for Jesus Christ. Not at all!

Thanks for your kind words on the subject brother. I think one of the finer and greater points of Western society is the fact we do not take things so seriously, that we can make fun of somethings religious without being insulting or hurtful of them. I personally would not do what she is doing, but I know her rationale for doing so. But once again, thanks for talking to us about the matter. --Enzuru 21:33, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
