Unreadable Font Color Under Some Settings

Princess Clown,

Please forgive me for being blunt, but I don't have much practice at complaining. I'm really a nice guy, who doesn't like to cause trouble.

Forgive me if I don't understand what you intended to accomplish by making your font color black, but it is hard to read under some settings. For example, I have it set so that I have a black background with green text, your font color just makes it look like a big blank area. So, if you could change your font color, or just stop putting in the ((font color=" ")) tag, I would appreciate it.

what do you mean by unreadable font color? Do you mean my userpage? Or is it my signature? If it's unreadable, then I'd be happy to change it. :-)

For my settings, it almost everything you type with your (font color=black face="")(/font) in front of it. I have my setting so that its a black background with green text, when you change you font color to black, the computer follows that order, keeps it black and all I see is a big black area followed by your signature (which, by the way, I can see just fine :D). For Example, the Neverending Story we're participating in, all I saw was the section before yours, a black spot, and mine. The only reason I knew there was something there was your sig. I have to highlight it to be able to read it. That reminds me, when you do change the color, make sure you put a (/font) at the end of whatever you're writing, before your signature. If you don't it will trun whatevers after it, that color too.

Up at the top of the page, click on My Preferences, then click on Gadgets, then scroll down to the section titled User interface gadgets, then check the box next to: Use a black background with green text on the Monobook skin. This only works on the Monobook skin, so if you do this, you have to use the Monobook skin. Cdmajavatalk

You don't need to create a "new section" every time you put something on another editor's user page -- and general custom is that when an editor initiates a "conversation" by posting something on your user page, you will respond right below on that same page. Hi!

Well, it seems that we share a few things in common, although we might from different countries, or even different continents (I'm from Malaysia). I hate (and I don't understand) silence as well. Whenever the teacher tells me to be quiet, I always wonder "Wouldn't it be boring if the classroom is filled with silence?". Besides that, I am also curious about how the world, along with the universe, to tell you the truth, was formed.

You are so cool in my opinion, unlike "those total weirdos that think they're so popular and stuff". Yes, they exist in Malaysia as well, and I'm referring to those cocky boys, since I'm in an all-boys school. WHY? Why can't I study in a co-ed school? It's so much better! So, do you get teased in school often, assuming that you are still in school? I do, but I'm obviously getting a little tired of it, and now I just try to ignore them. Plus, they're not afraid of me, even though I am a prefect. Oh, and I think your userpage rocks!

Oh no!

Yikes! I found out I got an extra tooth growing from the top of my gum. Dad says I maybe need to remove it. He says it doesn't hurt. But Im still worried. Any advice from people who got a removal or surgery before? ♣PrincessClown♥ 23:43, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

I had all of my wisdom teeth removed, as well as a oral-frenectomy (removal of extra tissue connecting teeth to the gums). I would ask to be knocked out completely via IV, NOT by gassing you. Page move

Is the page where you want it to be now, and is it just the redirects you want to be deleted? If it is, then as they are your user pages, you can request deletion via the speedy deletion process by adding {{db-u1}} to the pages. --Snigbrook (talk) 00:37, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

"No one paying attention question"

Hello, P.C. I couldn't help noticing your note on your talk page. Perhaps you would get more attention if you edited in the mainspace more. (You only have two mainspace edits!) :D

Try that out for a while. If you get bored of that, you could join a Wikiproject and collaborate on article ideas, and such. I myself am part of the WP:CM. There really isn't any criteria for joining WikiProjects - just find a subject you like and edit articles pertaining to it.

And if you still want something to do, you can patrol Recent Changes for vandalism and undo unconstructive edits. You can help out choosing featured pictures, sounds, and articles to be featured on the main page here, as well. In your free time, you could volunteer at WP:MOTD and vote on or create "Mottos of the Day."

Essentially, you have a very nice userpage, but if you would like more attention, I suggest getting your hands into the encyclopedia and collaborating more. :)

Your user page

There is way too much on your userpage: shoutboxes, banners, animated GIFs, garish background and so forth. Please read WP:USERPAGE as to what is and isn't appropriate on a userpage. I don't think it's too offensive, but you might want to tone some things down a little. Keep in mind that wikipedia isn't a social network, and there are certain things you can and can't have in your user space. redesigned

Hiya.. you've probably noticed that I've redesigned your pages. I've made them a bit tidier and easier to read, and removed most of the more Myspacey stuff. On your user page, I also shortened your 'about me' section somewhat.. you might also want to look at your barnstars section ;)

Here on your talk page, I made the design look the same. I also put in some code to make sure that ClueBot drops by and automatically archives any talk sections that haven't seen action in seven days. And there's a link to your archives that will automagically update as your archives get filled up.

Hi.. no, I'm afraid almost all of what you put back has nothing at all to do with Wikipedia. I want to work with you on this, because I don't want to see your userpage get deleted. But as it stands now, it's virtually identical to the way it was before, and it would not be inappropriate to have it deleted. The edits I made to the page guaranteed that it won't be deleted. Okay, but that doesn't really matter. We are discussing your page, not anybody else's. There is a guideline here which says, broadly, that saying "but the same thing happens over there" isn't a very good argument. This is your page we are talking about, and your page really, really goes against our policy about what should and should not be included. Well.. actually it is. At a bare minimum, I think you need to remove: shoutbox, everything below the Wikipedia ads down to The Royal Clown (that's about you, it's fine), A Word for Silly People, User Subpages (as they're all going to be deleted shortly), Why Vandals, and Frequently Asked Questions. None of those are really Wikipedia-related in a real sense, and the FAQ does talk about you but doesn't really add much--you could maybe keep it if you put it in the Royal Clown section. I have been watching this page since brought to miscellany for deletion. You are given a second chance, actually, because of [roux » x]’ defense on your side. As you said, your userpage isn’t as “my-spacey”. So, in that phrase, you have conceded that the “my-spacey” stuff exist in your userpage, and thus, such “my-spacey” thing is prohibited here in wikipedia. If you don’t adhere to that universal rule in this wiki dimension, then I believe you would not survive your next Mfd.
On your Mfd moment, I am also worried that your userpage be deleted as you seem to be a good editor--that is excluding your actions on your userpage. But you have to understand this is not a social network site, and such “my-spacey” thing in your userpage should be reconstructed in a way it hold on to wiki’s policy. That's pages that are Wikipedia humour, such as this one, not your userpage. Wikipedia is not a social networking site, and everything that needs to be removed from your userpage is social networking stuff. We welcome your contributions to the encyclopedia... you have made a total of fifteen edits to the actual encyclopedia, and nearly three hundred to your userspace and various user talk pages. Please, please remove all that Myspace stuff (simply reverting to the version of your userpage that I made would do it), and start contributing to actual articles. MySpace, LiveJournal, Xanga, and related websites are much better-suited for all of those things. [roux » x] 02:20, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Sorry to butt in, but Roux is absolutely correct. See the pie chart here. You can keep track of your edits over time with this tool, which is live.
If you ever find yourself bored, you can always help out at WP:RD, WP:FAC, WP:FPC, WP:FSC, WP:MOTD. Just make sure you edit in the mainspace (article or wikipedia), and less on your userpage. Yes. I second the decision to nuke the shoutbox.
Also, if you are welcome to any aesthetic suggestions, I'd say cut down a few of the banners, imho. It would be best to integrate that into text, but you could add them into custom userboxes to save space (don't go overboard, though).
