Re: Cádiz Memorial[edit]

Great work! I always appreciate when someone takes an article I've started to the next level. Thanks for your contributions. I added a few categories and see also links. The "Allegorical sculptures" category might also be added.  Done Also, I saw the "Iron sculptures" category but did not see iron mentioned in the prose (perhaps I overlooked?). I did see brass and bronze mentioned, so I added the "Brass sculptures" category and changed the iron category to bronze? Again, great work! I hope this article can be promoted to Good status some time soon. ----Another Believer (Talk) 20:24, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why do not state that Gibraltar is under under the United Nations list of Non-Self-Governing Territories[edit]

Tell me why do you revert the change, what is your argument?

You should have made your case for adding it first, not tried to edit-war it into the article. Instead, you've broken the rule against edit-warring and I've reported you for that. You can expect to be blocked from editing as a result. Prioryman (talk) 14:40, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh because you British want to hide a fact that is importantat for the rest of the world. If this statement was there and I remove it you wouldn't say anything, but because you are politically motivated you report me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pep2co (talkcontribs) 14:45, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You are the nationalist, I am not Spanish but the British are consistently removing a FACT from the article. every single user removing the FACT from the article is BRITISH. I am NOT SPANISH!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pep2co (talkcontribs) 17:05, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. As one of the recent editors of Gibraltar who recently (knowingly or not) participated in an edit war over how much prominence to give to a certain item in the lead of the article, I am inviting you to comment on a proposal at Talk:Gibraltar towards unprotecting the article. Can I also take this opportunity to cordially remind you that it is both more collegial and more effective to discuss in talk than to join in an edit war? Thanks a lot. --John (talk) 23:32, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Exhumation of Richard III[edit]

I noticed you're requesting TFA for the exhumation article. (Congratulations on getting it to FA, by the way.) I think it's a great idea to have it on the front page for that day, and I'm sure there will be a consensus in favour. I was wondering if you had considered doing something to publicize the article? Perhaps a press release from the UK chapter? I don't know if any media outlets would pick it up, but it might be worth a try. Just a thought. Stroma, Scotland[edit]

I see you have edited Stroma, Scotland before, so I thought I'd ask you about this recent edit to the article [1]. I read WP:Manual of Style#Compass points and MOS:COMPASS, and it says that in British English, the words for compass points such as "north-west" and "south-east" are usually hyphenated. However, I could not find an example of a compass point such as "southeasterly" or "east-northeast". If "north-east" is normally hyphenated in British English, then would "east-north-east" also be hyphenated? If so, and as British English should be used in this article because of "strong ties" to the region, perhaps this group of edits needs to be reverted. CorinneSD (talk) 17:44, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The MoS is consistent with what the Oxford Dictionaries say, so I think hyphenation would be needed throughout. Prioryman (talk) 21:14, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
