December 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Shengyu Lim, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. File copyright problem with File:Pathman.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Pathman.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:17, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from File:Desmond oh freethrow.jpg, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Stop removing deletion notices[edit]

File permission problem with File:Desmond oh freethrow.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Desmond oh freethrow.jpg, which you've sourced to http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v1975/35/94/617008518/n617008518_1291303_1278.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Logan Talk Contributions 15:25, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Steven khoo newpaper.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright Violations[edit]

Hi ProfessorC. I've just gone through and deleted all your uploads for today. You are not allowed to upload photos of living people which you have not taken yourself or which have not been released under at least WP:CC-BY-SA. Do not repeat these copyright violations or you will be blocked. Read Wikipedia:Image use policy and all the other messages on your page for more information. WormTT · (talk) 15:42, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Singapore national basketball team. Logan Talk Contributions 15:49, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 2010-11 Singapore Slingers season, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 2010-11 Singapore Slingers Season. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 14:23, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In regard Kyle Jeffers. Do you have any other sources that might show he meets the above notability standard? Gtwfan52 (talk) 06:13, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your changes are doing nothing to show his notability. You need second party reliable sources independent of the subject of the article. That means, not his pro team's website, nor his alma mater's website. You need something like newspapers, magazines or books talking about him; not about games he played in, but articles about him. Please read WP:NHOOPS. thanks Gtwfan52 (talk) 06:43, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kyle Jeffers has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Gtwfan52 (talk) 07:00, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can feel free to disregard this. I decided to take the article to AfD instead. Gtwfan52 (talk) 07:05, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
