On 4-June, you started the nomination process for deletion of this redirect. However, you did not complete the nomination by listing it at WP:RFD. I have removed the deletion nomination. If you want to re-nominate it, please follow all the steps at WP:RFD. I would note, however, that redirects like this one are usually kept. You may wish to check the reasons for deleting & keeping redirects at that page before proceeding. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 13:20, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alfred Nobels will-November 25th, 1895.jpg[edit]

A file you have uploaded/edited (File:Alfred Nobels will-November 25th, 1895.jpg) have been changed a bit by me. The Author of the work is Nobel and not you even if you might have taken the photo. You don't happen to have a source for the image? --Esuzu (talkcontribs) 14:05, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, according to Swedish law (Article 49a) also reproductions of 2D objects in public domain are copyrighted for 50 years, this e.g. makes it impossible to upload reproductions made in books. To the source: I made the photo two years ago from the original during a press conference at the Nobel-foundation (the Nobel-museum just contains a copy), as i did also with File:Michael Sohlman-press conference at Nobel foundation.jpg (left/behind of Sohlman is the famous painting of Nobel which iirc was deleted from Commons for this reason). --Prolineserver (talk) 19:00, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Am I right in thinking it isn't actually a PD work and that this change reflects the actual status of a (potentially copyrightable) photographic reproduction released by you? Rambo's Revenge (talk) 16:29, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if you want I just release my part as PD, I don't want to support a stupid swedish copyright regulation. --Prolineserver (talk) 20:55, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Miroslav Lajčák[edit]

I modified the description of the image of Miroslav Lajčák you used on that article. It was not an official portrait. It seems likely that it was intended in a slanderous way as the photo makes him look half-asleep while working. Hopefully this was just a language misunderstanding but if not, please do not include false information in Wikipedia. Jason Quinn (talk) 18:06, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I did not add the caption, just the image, see here. I didn't recognize that there was an old image caption in the template. --Prolineserver (talk) 20:48, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct. I made a mistake. Actually, now it's a matter of figuring how how to fix the problem since the template is making assumptions that aren't always valid. Apologizes... it's all just in the name of making the encyclopedia better. Cheers. Jason Quinn (talk) 03:12, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, its a chain of small mistakes: First the problem arised when removing the old image not completely, then when I didn't check the preview carefully since I didn't expect a caption to appear, and later when a user was shifting the images and did not recognize the stupid description. May be a warning should appear if there is a caption without an image, or the page is autocategorized in a maintance category in this case. I don't know how often this happens and how important this issue is. --Prolineserver (talk) 14:40, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bulk upload of images from Open Access journals[edit]

Hi Prolineserver,

as briefly mentioned at WikiCon, I am interested in bulk uploading suitably licensed images from OA sources. A test case is currently being discussed here, and some input from the technical side would be helpful. Thanks! -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 19:24, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bot-jobs[edit]

Hi,

Good to meet you at GLAMCamp. You may recall my lightning talk on microformats. There's an outstanding BOTREQ to fix dates in microformats; is that something you could help with, please? There's also a current request relating to album/ song durations. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:40, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm sorry to tell you that I'm not a pywikipedia-programmer at all, and I have too many other projects going on. --Prolineserver (talk) 12:53, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I was misinformed. Thanks anyway. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:58, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
