Hi Prometheustole18,

Thanks for your posts at the village pump. If you decide to stay involved in Wikipedia, you may find it helpful to make use of this talk page. You can also create subpages within your userspace. For example, you can create User:Prometheustole18/What is Wikipedia?. You can write an essay there about what you think Wikipedia is or might be. Then you can invite other people to give you feedback on the "talk" page attached to that page. This sort of thing is done all the time -- see Category:User essays.

I think that people who are highly involved in Wikipedia tend to get out of touch with the importance of speculative questions like these. If you want to surmount this, you might consider writing a little bit about your interest in Wikipedia at your User Page, i.e. at User:Prometheustole18. Without saying anything that might compromise your privacy, you might mention (for example) what level of school you're in, and how you got introduced to Wikipedia, and what has inspired you to seek answers to these questions (e.g., is there a philosopher you're reading? a teacher you respect? etc.)

I hope this helps. Please stick around -- this project needs curious people like you. Andrew Gradman talk/WP:Hornbook 06:27, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
